Ultralight, Ultra versatile!

So light & so very small. I take this on all my gravel training rides & most races, where others don't. They are trying to hide out under a bush or tree, shivering , wet in a puddle of hail while I cruise by, upper body dry & always warm. Other gravel racers think it will weigh them down & take up so much space to bring upper rain & wind protection. I made that mistake once but never again with the brilliant Helium II Jacket. What good is waterproof, if it's too bulky to stuff down & secure to my race bike?! This UL jacket has kept me out of an ER room & from remote backroad rescues more than once. GET A HELIUM II, IF ONLY FOR EMERGENCIES; YOU WILL NOT REGRET THE PURCHASE!

Lightest weight rain jacket

Stops rain like none other. Gets a little damp in an absolute downpour, but great for when temperatures get warmer. Does NOT feel like a trash bag.

Helium Jacket

Helium is always in my backpack, has been very durable the last three years. It lacks pockets but that's ok because it's the lightweight shell. Used in rain conditions and as a wind breaker over a puffy. It has replaced all but one of my hard shell jackets using it as an outside layer piece. Have had great luck with the pertex, will likely re treat soon though for some added water resistance. Breathes great as a rain jacket for long hikes/days.

Helium Jacket at 14k

I love this jacket and use it when biking high alpine rides in Colorado. It packs away so small in my hip pack or even shorts pocket. Great for the alpine shower or even the cold air during a long downhill!

All around performer

This jacket is so light weight and packable. Great rain protection, great wind breaker! The only addition I would want an this jacket is arm pit vents. Solid jacket!!!!

Very light. Not as breathable as i would like

Like any gear there are trade-offs. I enjoy this piece simply because I hope to rarely use but carry it always and it's so light that's not a problem. The only quibble is that is not breathable enough for running. Still a great product. Would recommend.

Fantastic Price

Got this jacket on clearance. The shell is real thin so I wouldn't wear it in the woods but should keep the rain off in the open.

As Others Have Said.... NOT Waterproof

Great as a windbreaker and will repel a very light rain or mist (like any windbreaker). In any actual rain it soaks right through. I like the jacket and it fits well, but fails miserably at keeping you dry. You should be aware of this before you count on this jacket to keep hypothermia away. I feel it runs small because I had to order an XL where most jackets I wear a L.
