Best Belay Gloves Hands Down
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
Easily the best climbing belay gloves I've ever used. These bad boys have full dexterity right out of the box. I can tie knots, handle any gear, tie my shoe laces without any risk of dropping what I'm using. I bought these for a romp up El Cap and they crushed it over the 4 days I was on the climb. With that said I did get one hole but I'm going to chalk that up big wall climbing being brutal on gear. These were worth their weight in gold and I'll be buying another pair.

Comfortable and Dextrous
These are my new favorite belay gloves! I take them up on the wall when I'm doing multipitch climbs and also to the sport crag. They are versatile and generally awesome! I did get some holes in them after some usage, so be aware the durability is an issue, but I really haven't found a glove that's both dextrous and durable. Belay gloves put up with some serious abuse, so I'm not really sure what's reasonable to expect.

Not Durable and fit like skinny jeans for your hands.
I don't have big meaty claws but these gloves seem to fit pretty snugly. I wear a medium glove, but sized up to a large and they still felt very tight around my fingers. I planned to use these for wildland firefighting since we are required to use full leather gloves, but one of the fingers ripped open after swamping juniper branches for not even 10 minutes! Incredibly frustrating given the price point. If you are using these for belaying (and have skinny skinny fingers) I'm sure they're great, but don't make the mistake I did and try to repurpose these as a work glove. They cannot hack it.

Buttery soft once they've broken in
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I've been looking for the perfect pair of gloves for doing rope rescue training for Search and Rescue for a while now. The Granite gloves seemed a bit tight when I first got them, but within an hour of using them, they seemed to conform to my hands like an extra layer of skin. I have enough dexterity to tie and untie knots while wearing them and they give me plenty of protection when rappelling.

Awesome Belay Gloves!
I got these to replace a worn out pair of BEAL gloves that I've had for ten years. These have performed great so far. I can move easily between climbing and belaying and ensure I don't trash my hands before a climb! They fit a bit smaller than expected across the palm but are flexible enough to work well for me!

Great fit, but not very durable
Used these gloves as general duty/bug protection, x it didn't take long before homes in the finger tips developed. In fact, it was only a month of use. The previous iteration eventually developed holes after 3 years of use. I wouldn't recommend these at this price.
