Quite protective and comfortable

I trail run a few times a week on moderate hilly terrain with some roots, rocks and mud. I've had these shoes for about nine months and have put a few hundred miles on them. At first, I thought they were very stiff but they have broken in nicely and are holding up well. I'm 6'2" and a shade under 200 lbs, so durability is important to me. I love running downhill in these: they are very surefooted and protective. On uphills, they get a good grip and keep you moving. My only complaint is that they are tight in the toe box. I was initially getting some hot spots between my toes which have gotten better as the shoe has broken in. I usually wear a 12 and would go with a 12.5 next time. That's the only reason I'm knocking off a star. I wasn't so sure about the mint color scheme but it has grown on me. I've had some on and off foot problems that have curtailed my mileage in recent years. These shoes have kept me on the trail and smiling while I'm there. Overall, a very nice trail shoe and I will buy them again.

Fast and durable!

I have worn a lot of trail running shoes and these 'slowly' became my favorite this past year. First off, they do seem to run a half size too small. I wear a 10 in the Nike Trail Peg 2 and the Nike Pegasus 37 road shoe, but a 10.5 in these. They also start of a little 'stiff'. I have had a couple of pairs now and it seems like 50-70 miles before they start to feel really good! The react midsole is fast and responsive. It feels more cushioned the more you break it in as well! What is most impressive is durability of this shoe. I have 350+ miles on these and they feel similar to how they did at 50 miles. The upper shows very little wear as well! I have logged a lot of miles in Hokas as well and am lucky to get 150 miles before they start to feel a little flat!

Too narrow

Great looking shoes, my size is 10.5 but it feels like shoe size is 10 or 9.5. Looks like other people having the same problem. If you still want it order half size extra

A bit narrow
- Familiarity:

They are good looking pair. However, I find them a bit narrower than my other sneakers. Though, they are advertised as Running trail sneakers, I am not sure I would recommend them for a rough train.

Entire Family Loved These Shoes!
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
I bought these trail runners for myself as well as my husband and three of our children (ages 20, 17, 12). We all love them! We are fans of all Nike shoes, but were unsure of purchasing trail runners....boy were we surprised! We have worn and washed after each hike/run and they are still holding up great. Impressed with the durability, comfort, tread, and most of all the price! I have a hard time wearing narrow shoes as I have bunions, but that part of the shoe is mesh and therefore very flexible, not causing me any pain or discomfort. I highly recommend these shoes!

Perfectly Reasonable
I paid $90 for these - more or less. They're not as good as the Hokas or Salomons I've worn, but they're not as expensive either. Perfectly acceptable if you consider the price and don't expect too terribly much.

Cheap materials & poor suuport

I do a lot of trail running and hiking and thought I?d give these a try. The construction of the shoe is cheap and doesn?t provide support for challenging runs. The toe box is narrow and they feel unstable on the trails. I?m going back to Altras.

Not a good fit for me

Unfortunately, I'm returning this shoe as it is not right for me. The 1st thing that didn't feel right for my foot was the strip of foam padding inside the back of the heel cup. It felt really pronounced and it never got comfortable. My old trail shoe had a 4mm drop and this shoe has 8mm drop, made a bigger difference than I thought. Stability is not normally a concern for me, but I took the shoe out for a short test on a familiar trail and rolled ankle twice.
