I like the mid height and the fact that they are waterproof. They are surprisingly warm in winter but not hot in summer. Very comfortable cushion effect without loss of stability. I liked my first pair so much I bought a second pair, which I like as well. Good hiking shoe and comfortable while riding my town bike.

Really comfy and look great. Very light to wear and like walking on a cloud!

appreciation from an 87 year old.
i changed the laces, removed some of the decoration and now i wear the shoes every day. these shoes are good for people my age, 87, but we're not the target. we should be because they make walking much easier. i do use the 1080s for walking around the indoor track at the Y.

Hurt feet
Unfortunately these dug into the top of my feet when I tried them on. There seemed to be a coarse part of the tongue of the shoe near the base which did this. I sent them back and got a refund which was processed very quickly.

Attractive but hurts
I was attract to the shoe because it appeared to be substantial & had high top support. I bought size 11-2E which is same as my 860’s. The fresh foamXhierro mid gore Tex hurt after short walk I tried again yesterday with sore bottom of my right foot. I don’t know what to do. Will you replace with 11.5 E?

Great shoe
Excellent , most comfortable shoe I have had in a real long time. I’m hoping they come out with more colors, straight black would be great.

Super Sneaker
A sneaker than can serve as a boot. Gore-tex upper, Vibram sole, a decent amount of ankle support, and super comfortable! Please make a subdued version for law enforcement!

Bad version of a good shoe
The stitching started to come apart within a few weeks. I walk a few miles a day, but I'm not climbing mountains or anything. Other New Balance shoes of the same model have held up for years for me. But these are not well-constructed.

Comfortable Quality
Very easy on the feet. Practically no break-in time needed. They are going to be a great wear on our upcoming trip to England and Ireland.
