Worst Fresh foam 1080 I've ever owned
I've had 1080s for years, going back to at least v10 but these v14s are the worst ones. The tong is shorter which makes it hard to put them on. Also the tread on the bottom squeak when walking. I'm really disappointed, I need to go find a new shoe brand to buy going forward. Also seems like there's extra padding which seems like a good idea but it's so soft now that it feels a bit unstable. Like you walking on a rubber ball.

These size 15’s feel pillow like

The firm mesh on toe box extends back too far!!!!!
The toe box has soft mesh for comfort and firm mesh for shoe shape. The firm mesh extends too far back and rubs against the side of the big toe. On the 1080v13 this was not the case. This causes many reviewers to state that the toe box is less comfortable because its more narrow. The lack of comfort is not because it is more narrow (the width is the same) but because the firm mesh extends too far back. The problem is that people feel this slight abrasiveness of the firm fabric will soften as the shoe is broken in. It will not! It takes a few months for customers to figure this out and by then they have wasted money on a shoe that they initially thought was going to be more comfortable. ...... Please go back to the toe box design configuration used on the v13. More and more people want more comfort with the toe box. Ignoring this trend will cause customers to go to other brands. I would regret this happening since New Balance overall is the best brand. Please correct this design flaw!!!!!!!

Bring Back 13s Ride
This is not the worst rendition of the 1080. The only thing that needed to be fixed on the 13s was how toasty they’d get in the summer. Everything else about the 13s was perfect. I miss the ride of the 13s. The 14s have lost something in the foam. For walking they’re beautiful, for running they’re alright. The upper is comfy, but with warmer weather rolling in, they’re still too hot for the warm months. If NB could bring back the ride of the 13s and get the upper to operate at a cooler temperature; they’ll achieve the perfect recovery day shoe. Love the color ways of the 14s, super comfortable heel collar, just miss that 13 ride.

Love the availability in extra-wide
As we get older, our feet spread out. New Balance 1080 4e are very comfortable for my old feet. I’ve got 4 pair that I rotate wearing.
