Great hat to keep the wind off and ears warm
I have two of these hats. One is an XL and the other is a L. I like how they cover my ears. It’s a warm hat that’s fairly thin. The L is a little tight and the XL is a little loose but both fit well.

Would fit children better, not grown men. Too tight!
Bought 2, one for hubby and the other for my Dad. Hubby is bald, Dad is nearly there. Bought larges and they are TOO TIGHT. Tried to look online for XL ... sold out. No surprise. People's heads are not shrinking, but I wonder if companies are trying to use less material, possibly due to increased cost of manufacturing? At any rate, these are being returned to store and I will look elsewhere for warmer Christmas gifts. Bummer, because I have loved Mountain Hardwear products in the past.

I have been wearing mountain hardware beanies for many years. They were always great. But this new style is WAY TOO SMALL. in the headband area. I wear an extra large and they fit great. I ordered Extra Large this time and they fit like a Medium!
Too Small! The Extra Large fits like a Medium in the headband area!

Warm hat, covers ears and forehead
Bought this to replace an older MH hat that I lost. This one is better in that it covers my ears and forehead completely and is still windproof and warm.

These are my only winter hats
I have been using these for years as almost the only winter hat I ever use. They are quite warm, but don't overheat me. There are two issues I have with them. First, I keep misplacing them which is why I'm buying more now. They really don't wear out. Second, they tend to slide over my eyes. This is a common problem with all such caps, not specific to these. This time, I ordered large - which is what I had before - and they seem very tight. I'm keeping them because I hope the tightness will reduce the slippage.

Not Like the Older/Better Domes
I’ve worn Dome Perignon’s since the 90’s and loved them. Never went anywhere without one. This cut is smaller, tighter, not nearly as comfortable for me, nor as good looking. I would be ecstatic if the old cut Dome was re-released!!

A really nice hat
I love this hat. I am a 23 year old woman who works at a ski rental shop and a lot of dads come in wearing this hat and it makes me feel insanely cool that I have the same one as them. Plus, this hat is great for touring. The black part is kind of wind resistant so it really protects your ears and the top is fleece which is just really warm and cozy. Before I got this hat, I would wear cotton hats when I went out touring but since I sweat a lot the hat would always get looser as the tour progressed. Not with this hat. I can wear this hat for hours and sweat an insane amount and still the hat is nice and snug. This hat makes me feel like a powerful mountaineer while also feeling like I can kickback with all the dads who wear it.
