I really wanted to keep this backpack for the huge sideways zipper compartment. Unfortunately, there is no real height adjustment for longer torso and the hip and shoulder straps are rather piddly (similar quality and thickness to a normal school type backpack). If it fit my torso I'd be keeping it regardless of that detail. The build quality otherwise seems great, zippers are thick and large. *comes with waterproof cover bag also was a plus.

Love it, but where's the flap?

Absolutely fantastic! This bag is a huge improvement over a backpack. The only thing I've noticed is that it doesn't seem to have a flap to hold gear in place in the main compartment. That being said, I haven't really needed it as the bag seems to hold stuff in the right place when loaded correctly. Big fan!

Great Crag Pack

I have been using this pack for half a year and it's my go-to crag pack for trad, sport sometimes even for ice. I am definitely someone who loves the accessibility the full zipper provides. It also make it easier to pack. I like to use it for moderate approaches for multipitch climbs as well simply because it can pack in so much including a smaller lightweight multipitch pack and trad gear + ice axes. I have also found this size to be very ideal as it also passes off as a carry on luggage. It's been durable so far and I wonder if it will hold out well with more weight.

Outstanding pack

Been putting this pack through the ringer for the last few weeks. It's super easy to pack and access various items inside. Easily holds an 80M rope, draws, harness, puffy, snacks and a water bottle for the approach. Waist belt is comfortable and supportive. Opens both through the (expandable) drawstring top and full belly zip which makes it super easy to access things that are deeply buried without taking everything out. Feels bigger on the inside than it is. Haven't tried taking it on a plane as a carryon, but I think you'd be able to get it into an overhead compartment easily. Would buy it again in a heartbeat.

So many places to attach and carry gear

I have owed this backpack a year now and use it three to four times a month. It never leaves the house fully loaded. Water, snacks, draws, harness, dog leash, slings, first aid, shoes and kitchen sink. This bag has ben a work horse for me. I really like the latching points that run the out side the bag. I clip my climbing shoes to the outside to air them out and my sandals for quick access for stream crossing. I’ve found that two half gallon hydro flasks ride great on the top of the this back pack.

Excellent Bag

One of the best bags on the market. Super durable material, great looking color, well designed, and fits great. I would recommend this bag to anyone looking for something new to replace any old or worn out crag pack.

So much room!

My absolute favorite thing about the crag wagon is that it has enough space in it, that you could actually fit your belay partner in the bag on your way to the crag. I highly recommend this bag to trad climbers and other climbers that may carry lots of gear around. Additionally, the functionality of being able to open the bag from the front and pull things out is very handy after using it for a while. I did find that the issue my friend and I were facing with this bag was the quality of the zipper moving the zipper around the edges of the opening can sometimes be complicated and get the zipper stuck. I’m nitpicking, but for the price you pay, it would’ve been nice to get some additional pockets for a water bottle or other accessories given you could put all of that inside the bag, but none of it is easily accessible.

Worth every penny

I’ve had the pack for a little over two months and taken it on one three day trip to take my AMGA SPI course. I previously used my regular 48L Osprey bag for my crag bag and this blew it out of the water. So glad I upgraded. The top load is great but the front opening panel makes access and organization a breeze. The interior hanging loops work great for racking the important gear you don’t want to shift while hiking in. Love the pack. Minor complaints - cause there always some - with the “G”hook (or “9” depending your orientation)of the bag isn’t stuffed it can uncinch - but not to the degree people have issues with the top strap on the Scrambler pack. Tightening the waist belt could be modernized too - climbing gear is heavy! I love when hip belts redirect the straps to tighten from the sides with a forward pull in lieu of the traditional sideways pull from the actual cam buckle. Minor complaint I noticed especially coming from hauling all my gear in an actual hiking backpack. Overall I am thrilled I got the bigger pack - it is still great when underloaded and better with everything on the inside and it’ll fit a LOT.
