Why We Like The Mountain Equipment Superflux Jacket
Built to do battle with serious weather, the Mountain Equipment Superflux Jacket is ready for our alpine climbs, ski tours, and mountaineering missions. The jacket's shell provides plenty of water resistance to shed snow and light moisture, while the synthetic insulation is warm, lightweight, packable, and much more tolerant of moisture than down. That's weather protection we trust when we're headed to play in the cold of high elevation.

I am a women's US 8. I went with a size 14 (US large) so I could layer underneath, and the sizing is perfect. I have decided I want a closer fit with this particular coat since it's a lighter weight coat (for Montana) so will be returning for a size 12. Based on my other pieces by Montane I am sure it will fit as I want. Good quality and design.

I sized up because I wanted to be able to layer underneath. The jacket body is the size I expected, but the sleeves are too tight to get even a sweatshirt under. Even with just a baselayer, I can feel the armpits of the jacket when I’m wearing it. If you have very thin upper arms and don’t intend to layer too much, this might work for you. I plan to return it.
