For all-out performance, the jacket is made with the hyper-breathable Polartec NeoShell stretch fabric, which gives increased airflow and water vapor transport while still remaining fully waterproof.

The Fast Alpine Jacket is tailored with ice climbing in mind; the hand pockets are located well out of the way of a climbing harness and the arms are designed in such a way that the hem does not lift when you're reaching above your head. Articulated elbows allow for an even better range of motion, and slightly larger-than-average chest and bicep measurements allow for easy layering in cold weather.

Not only is the Fast Alpine ideal for climbing, it is also perfectly suited for ski mountaineering and touring, The jacket features a Pertex Microlight windproof powder skirt to prevent wind and snow entry, and the skirt has top and bottom adjustment for fit customization. A helmet-compatible hood accommodates climbing or ski helmets, and waterproof zippers throughout prevent water entry.
