I had this boot on both my 1997 and 1999 Appalachian Trail Thru Hikes! Same boot and the sole lasted some 3,000 miles until it was resoled in NC in 1999, But after that the soles lasted some 5,000 miles later! The boots not only held up to 2 Appalachian Trail Thru Hikes , But 4 Vermont long Trail Thru Hikes. After Thousands of miles hiking and working in these boots they Retired with some 8,000 miles of hiking on them! I never once got a blister or sore feet from them ! They were made by hand and lasted for many years ! All these years later i still dream about how amazing they were! No other boot came close! I am really sad they no longer make them!
