Eco waterproof shoe
Moderate mix hiking in Colorado, so far so good. I like the shoe, light weight but feels sturdy under my feet. Very comfortable from new and my feet do not get too sweaty after my hikes. Overall I’m extremely pleased with my choice of shoe.

Very nice, just a little stiff.
Solid shoe, quality materials, looks good. Just a bit stiffer than I'd hoped. Perhaps it needs a break-in period?

Great shoe, fit not what I expected.
Love Merrell, mostly because of consistent quality and fit, at a fair price. This pair is the first in years that doesn’t have the solid, comfortable fit that I have come to expect.

Comfortable and good value
Took these shoes on an African safari. They were comfortable and performed well on a dusty trail. The price I paid was reasonable for the value. I expect to get lots of miles on this pair and will likely wear them on my rainy day walks to the local coffee shop.

As expected
Comfortable, waterproof, to my expectations. Heal is slightly elevated which is a bonus. I use these as golf shoes

Merrell Speed Eco Waterproof? Hiking Shoes
My husband & I purchased our Merrell Speed Eco Waterproof Hiking Shoes to keep our feet dry during short walks on dew-covered grass in our local park. The shoes were very comfortable. After wearing them about 30 times, my feet & socks become soaking wet as soon as my shoes touch the grass. His feet remain perfectly dry. My shoes still look new, with no signs of damage or wear. The same shoes (different sizes) bought on the same day. The same walks. My feet are wet & his are dry. What can I do? My husband is tired of me complaining during our walks. (He would give a 5 star rating to his shoes & I would too if my feet stayed dry.)

Perfect for all day and all weather!
I took these shoes on a 3 week Europe trip to Italy and Switzerland. As part of the trip the temps ranged from 35-75 degrees with rain off and on. I walked in snow, mud, shallow puddles, and through rain storms. I wore water resistant pants from Outdoor Research which kept the water from getting my socks or top of the shoes wet. Even with the rain, I didn't have a single wet sock. Nothing soaked through the shoes. Obviously, they tend to run a little bit warmer because of the water proofing, but in cooler climates they're ideal. Additionally, I was wearing a photography backpack with about 30lbs of gear. The padding in the shoes kept my feet from getting sore even with the additional weight. I can't speak to the longevity of the shoe, but I can say they're built for traveling in all sorts of weather. As mentioned by a few people, they can be a bit slick, but this only seems to be true on non-porous surfaces like metal for the occasional manhole or metal plates covering sidewalks, take some extra caution.

Rio and Buenos Aires
For me they were supportive in the right way for my ball-of-the-foot neuroma, and and at the same time, light and able to slip on. I bought two for my South America three week trip, both waterproof and net. I had no pain issues with 12000+ steps a day!!
