Ready to switch
Received a pair of Moab 2 or 3 (J035839W) Mid Waterproof hikers as a warranty pair after waterproofing issues with another Merrell hiker. This boot did not fair much better having water leakage issues after a year and when new had a clacking noise with each step. I have been a Merrell fan for many years starting with their Reflex hiker which were phased out years ago. Best every day hiking and all round usage footwear I've owned. Lasted on average 2 years but were dry til the sole wore through. Please work on getting the waterproofing issue fixed as I find the fit and comfort of Merrell hikers top notch for me. Having dry feet for a long hike or short for that matter is a must, so until then, I think it is time to find a new brand.

Great hikers
Great shoe for hiking Hillside and meadow trails...waterproof feature is great for hiking on wet, dew covered grass. They are super comfortable...so glad Merrell carries these in a wide size.

Awesome new boots - thanks Merrell
Just bought a new pair to replace my old Merrell boots that have served me well for over 10 years - yes they last ! When I put on the new ones and walked around they felt perfect - no break in needed here. And … I’m sure they will feel this way for many years. Merrell just does not disappoint!

Great
I bought this type of shoe in 2018. These are the best shoe I've ever had. Still wearing them. I got the widest fit I could for my 4e width.

Big guy approved
Have not had a lot of luck with hiking boots at work but, I had never tried Merrell boots before. I may be a Merrell guy now. I’ve been wearing them everyday at work and they have been surprisingly comfortable right out of the box with no break in needed. I work outside in a lot of uneven rocky footing conditions and these are holding up well and still comfortable. Haven’t tested the waterproof feature yet. Never have been a fan of the looks of these boots but I’m glad I talked myself into trying a pair when they went on sale. If it wasn’t for the comfort of their sandals I never would have thought to try their boots. I’m 275-280lbs and these things keep my feet happy. Not the ankle support of a Danner Super Rainforest but , I wasn’t expecting too much ankle support out of this design. Soles are really grippy on all surfaces encountered. This will probably be my first pair of many.

2000 Miles
I completed the entire Appalachian Trail - 2197.4 miles - this year. I am not in the prime of my life. I am not some endurance athlete. I am not spending thousands on gear and equipment. I am my own support team. I started in GA with Merrells in March. I finished on Katahdin with Merrells in September. That’s one decision I made that I would not change.
