Comfy lightweight hiking shoes
I wanted comfortable, lightweight, and waterproof hiking shoes to replace my much loved hiking shoes. I was able to pack these in my carryon backpack for a trip to Croatia where we planned to visit several National Parks. So far, I am loving these shoes but haven't hiked in really wet terrain yet.

Not my perfect size!
For the last few years, I have switched to wearing Merrill sneakers/trail shoes. (I have worn their ”fur-lines clogs” for many, many years ; and, love them). However, this Bravada pair, seems to have a narrower fit; also , one shoe lace is shorter than the other!! What the heck!!! I love the color; and, try to wear thinner weight socks to off set the narrow toe area. This why I m giving them a “3”.

Disappointing
This is the first Merrell product that I have not loved. There is not enough support, the material barely covers my instep, and the laces are so short they barely tie. On the plus side, the sneaker is very light.

returned
I returned these shoes. They ran large & offers no side support.

Very comfortable
I have worn these for several months for hiking and backpacking, including rock scrambling. They are very comfortable and functional. However, today I wore them on a wet grass and leaves walk and was disappointed that my toes got wet in my wool socks.

Hiking in Maine made easy with my Merrells!
Great fit from the start. They even fit my right arch which is slightly different than my left. Comfortable and sturdy!

Poor manufacturing of seams at back of foot
Unfortunately, this model has a flaw in seaming at the back of the foot. Exchange the first one and received a model that was even worse, but when I tried to return it or exchange again, it said I was not able to so I’m stuck with a pair of sneakers. I don’t wear they will rip up the back of my heels.

Dry feet are the best feet on vacation!
Bought theee for a trip to London and they did not disappoint! Wore them on the rainy days and my feey stayed dry. Very comfortable for 10+ hours on the go. Worth every penny. I will say, if the weather had been warmer (it was in the 50's-62 F everyday) my feet would have been sweaty. The waterproof factor does make them warm.
