The GOAT - Great on all terrains

I took my Merrells right to the urban streets. I do a lot of urban walking in my occupation and needed a black summer sneaker that could handle different terrains and my Merrels don't disappoint. The bed is supportive and absorbs impacts from rocky terrain. The only thing I would wish for is for the shoe to have more lateral support. On several occasions, my ankle has rolled over on some uneven terrain. I would have probably benefitted from a boot version of this shoe.

Larger/wider than expected.

I love my Merrell Moab and chameleons. This shoe looks great and seems built well. I purchased the same size I wear in other Merrell shoes but these seem very roomy in the toe box. Oddly the right shoe seems more so dramatically than the left. My foot moves side to side annd can slide forward even when laced tight. On uneven ground this shift has caused me to roll an ankle which wasn’t serious but sucked. It almost happened again tonight walking my lab. We moved to the side of the road and the shift almost got me again. I’ll try to add an insole to see if that will help. If I purchased again I’d go a half size smaller, but not sure that would help with the extra width. I want to like the shoes and wear them for daily shoes but won’t be wearing them on our summer mountain hikes though.

Great trail shoes

They work great they have lots of stability. They have plenty of room for foot swelling too. They feel Super sturdy I feel really secure going down Rocky terrain bc they have great grip.

Fantastic shoe

I have purchased two pairs of these in a women's size 10 and I couldn't be happier. They fit perfect right out of the box. No break in time. I'm very selective with my footwear, I have a 6 inch screw holding my left foot together from being hit by a drunk driver. I can depend on Merrell Agility Peak 5! I'm about to order another pair 😍

Used for Men’s Softball

I play on a men’s softball tournament team and bought these trail runners to wear when I play. First time out wearing them I played in 10 softball games over 3 days. My feet felt great after each day of games and the shoes gave me great traction playing the field, running, and hitting. I’m hoping they are more durable than the Hoka’s I’ve worn over the past few years whereby I went through 2 pairs over the season.

Good shoe, good look

Stable on terrain, good shock absorption, a little narrow. Should have bought the wide version

Poor quality -- failed after only 3 weeks of use

I had these shoes for only three weeks, and I ran in them no more than 5 or 6 times. However, when I was tightening the laces before a run this morning, one of the laces ripped right through the top eyelet, which made the shoe basically unusable. Very disappointing. These were my first Merrell running shoes and will definitely be my last.

One of the best pairs of shoes I have ever had

Did a 19 mile hike in these and my feet felt great the next day.

Good and Bad

I own the non-waterproof and gore Tex version. The gore Tex version seems to be 5 stars so far but the non-waterproof appear to have quality control problems. As you can see in the photos the tops of shoes are covered in loose threads that make them look terrible and cheap. The bottom soles appear to be glued on incorrectly and are wearing terribly. Merrell needs to start doing better quality control before a great customer moves to another brand.
