Agility Peak 5 Bliss Shoe offers durable trail performance and grip for technical terrain

What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:

"These shoes are made for serious trails—roots, rocks, switchbacks, and all. The FloatPro foam feels super responsive, and the MegaGrip outsole sticks no matter the surface. I’ve worn them on long, technical runs and they’ve held up incredibly well without sacrificing comfort."

We thrive on rugged trails, quick shifts in elevation, and the kind of terrain that demands more from every step. The Merrell Agility Peak 5 Bliss Shoe is built for that rhythm—powerful, technical, and always moving forward. Designed for obstacle-laden paths and rapid direction changes, it delivers the support, protection, and traction we need to stay agile on the move.

A Vibram® MegaGrip® outsole provides exceptional traction in wet and dry conditions, while the FloatPro™ Foam midsole keeps things light and cushioned for long miles. With a rock plate for underfoot protection, 5mm lugs for bite, and recycled materials throughout, this shoe hits the sweet spot between performance and sustainability. Whether we’re charging up steep ridgelines or weaving through debris-covered trails, the Agility Peak 5 Bliss keeps us confident and connected to the ground.

Disappointing.

Disappointing. The tongue is very long and hits and scrapes the fronts of the ankle. If you look very closely you can see the ends of “threads” sticking out. They are not soft fabric but sharp plastic pointy ends and they scrape the skin of the ankle when wearing ankle socks.

Didn’t work for me

No cushion. They were like walking on wooden shoes. Returned.

Bright and Fun!

I love bright shoes, and these fit the bill. They perk up any style. They are comfortable and well padded.

Super comfortable with superior grip!

I bought these to try as a replacement for my heavier mid boots (Merrell waterproof Moabs) that I have always worn hiking. I was headed to western Colorado and eastern Utah (Moab/Canyonlands) and knew I would likely not need the heavier boots. I usually love the fit of Merrells and these shoes were no different - they fit like a glove. The thinner tongue took a little longer to get used to and I have to tie my shoes tighter to make sure my thin ankles/heels don't step out of them. But I was able to wear thinner/cushioned hiking socks and wore them all day with no issues. The bottom tread and it's stickiness were awesome on the trails - walking across slickrock feeling absolutely confident in the cushioned grippiness of the shoes was a definite plus. So much so that I bought a 2nd pair. I just wish the colors offered were better - I have the pale pink and pale green ones and they definitely look like some kind of orthopedic shoe.

Great shoes for Volcan Acatenango

Shoes were fantastic and held up so well. I had no feet pain and had only wore them twice before doing a 12 hr day hike at volcano acatenango in Guatemala. They were amazing and the grip was great for the slippery parts. Would definitely recommend them to anyone needing good trail runners.

Super responsive, grippy and comfortable! A little stiffer than I prefer, but overall a wonderful shoe!

As soon as I tried them on. My left foot started hurting. I can't wear them and put them back in the box.

Runs big

I was so excited to try these shoes. They are fairly comfortable. And provide medium support. Nice looking. They do run big though. I thought they would be ok with heavy socks but my heel feels like it is moving. So I’m not a fan of the over all fit of these.

Runs Long

I purchased these in the same size as my Moab Speed 2's. However, they are too long and my foot is sliding all over the place. I've worn them out twice and can't return them. I contacted CS and they were Great! They were able to give me a discount on a new pair in a better size! Thank you Merrill! Have worn your shoes for over 10 yrs and will definitely continue to do so!
