Perfect short hiking pants
They are my go to hiking pants for late fall all through winter. They fit well, have great pockets and are very durable. Great for hiking and peaking the NE. I’m 5 ft. 1/4 inch and the inseam is perfect. They are worth the price

Great Hiking Pants
I searched for a long time for pants like these! They are very comfortable and light. I wore them on a day hike in Denali and they worked great. The temp was in the low 30’s. With a base layer under, these pants kept me warm.

Solid Winter Pants
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought these for my girlfriend for a winter ascent of Mt. Washington. I have the men's version and use them for winter hikes in NH. Women's version were just as good and she loves them. She is petite 4'11" 100 lbs, and the extra small short fit better than expected.

Nice comfortable material
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Received this item as a gift. Useful for hikes and wind protection. Button was a bit tight in the waist but I use them often for hikes in the winterish months in Michigan.

Change in style and fit
Style has changed. No vertical pocket, no ankle zip. Now there is an oddly placed horizontal zip pocket across the hip. The ankle has a drawstring. Not as complimentary fit as previous style. Returned due to disappointment in style changes and fit.

Changed the design
I have a pair of these that I love. They have changed the design though which is not an improvement. The pockets are no longer flattering due to placement and the rise is a bit higher which is uncomfortable. Sad to see the design change. Going back.

Love!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted a pair of shell pants for hiking and snowshoeing and these are great! I wore them hiking and through bushwhacking and some butt-slides, I didn’t have any issues with tearing!

Sturdy, comfy, short enough.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Glad to have a pair of softshell pants that I don't have to hem. I'm 5'2", 116lbs; size 6 is great and I can wear a layer of wool under. I have a 29" inseam and the hem is perfect. The semi-low waist is great for my short torso. The fit is great for (*cough*) a strong butt and legs with a smaller waist. I'd give them 5 stars except I haven't had a chance to wear them in the wild yet. I've had other Marmot softshell pants in similar weight fabric, and I can tell you the fabric will hold up great to my abuse (lots of alpine rock climbing, and scraping on rocks). Also REALLY nice to get them in emerald, not the typical and oh-so-boring black, teal or purple. Marmot, if you made these in red or bright sky blue I'd buy more!
