Incredible Tent
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This tent is incredible. Super roomy, and high quality. Being able to stand is a game changer. In one trip it fir 3 adults, 2 kids, and 3 large dogs comfortably. Took it out in 20 degree weather and fit 6 adults just fine as well. Absolutely worth the investment, and I can not recommend it highly enough.

Good, but missing essential items.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Really like this tent for 3+ people. Hold up well in rain also. I bought it because it was supposed to come with the poles to turn the vestibule into a sun shade, but it didn’t include these poles. Not surprised it didn’t come with enough stakes, as most tents do not. Worst part is I opened I “warranty” claim since the additional poles weren’t included and Marmot told me to ship the entire tent back for evaluation. Why not just send me the items that were missing?!?! Also, this isn’t a great value considering they didn’t include the poles that should be included and you have to purchase to the footprint separately. Big disappointment.

Excellent Tent
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been camping for over 50 years in all kinds of conditions and seasons. We we went camping recently and I forgot my main stake bag. I only had enough stakes to stake down the main tent frame. We experienced 35 mile per hour wind gusts that destroyed over 10 tents around us. The Marmot stood strong even without the fly being staked out. I was very impressed. I’ve also used this tent during torrential rains and it performed as expected. It is big enough to put a queen size air mattress in while still allowing room for sleeping bags on pads. Great family tent! I am also able to put up this tent by myself except for pulling the fly over the top due to the tent height and I am 5’3. I use my 9 year old to help me with that.

Keeps the rain out. Stayed warmer inside
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this last weekend and it was pouring and pounding on the tent. All six of us stayed dried. There's only one issue I had. When the rain hit hard, it seems that we are getting splattered with tiny sprinkles of water here and there from the above. The rainfly was touching the top of the mesh and I'm thinking it's the condensation that was getting hit back down from the rain drops. The footprint tarp is a must have also. The side walls stayed dry and warm all night. Rainfly was cold since it was on the outside. No-see um material was great, zippers were strong. Would love to have tiny windows to peek out though. I saw reviews that it had a mat for the vestibule, but it didn't have it. Need to get two poles for the vestibule also if you want to hold the fly up for a canopy. Setup was easy. All in all, I love this tent.

Hello space for everything
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This tent has space for everything! We had two adults, two kids and a dog in this tent and felt more than comfortable in this tent. There is plenty of space for more people but we bought the tent for comfort car camping. The tent fly seems very dependable, but we didn't experience rain. Plenty of condensation built up in the tent, but didn't experience any dripping into our space. Would love to have had the awning poles included for the door, but that is a separate purchase, as is the footprint for the tent. Recommend more awning poles and stakes for this tent. Overall, I would purchase again and actually waited three months for this to be restocked. I believe this is the best 8 person tent on the market for price and features offered.

Thoughtful design and excellent materials
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased this tent for an extended camping trip through national parks. The tent held up beautifully (we slept in it 20+ nights) and kept us dry every time it rained. There was plenty of room for my family of six, including our bags. I appreciated the layout of the tent- everyone could enter and exit with having to climb over others. Ventilation was much better than our previous tent. We used old tarps as a ground cloth to protect the floor, which I feel is on the thin side. We did have some dampness come up through the floor when water ran under the tent or ground was quite wet. Never enough to get our things wet. The set up is straightforward with color coded poles and tabs to help get things in the right place with such a large tent. Two people can set it up easily; one could probably manage in a pinch. Be aware the tent is large- we've had to carefully select campsites in national parks to fit it in.

Great family tent.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter and her husband are just starting a family. They have two Samoyed dogs and have room for all their gear and a portable crib. We love camping and this is a great tent that keeps them all warm and dry!

Spacious, Though Functionally Deficient
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this tent with the intent of taking our family (6 people, 4 kids) on a trip to Glacier National Park and several other state parks this year. It was a large tent and simple to set up, though we did buy heavier duty stakes to secure it into the ground. Our whole family fit, including a pack 'n' play, with no issue. Storage space was incredible, as each corner had a pocket at the top, and there were pockets throughout the base of the tent for books, glasses, and flashlights. The tent did not come with the awning poles, though, which was a minor inconvenience. More importantly, the rainfly did not perform well, as we dealt with water dripping in from above during our nights of rain. The fly also did not function well over the vestibule/storage area, and could benefit from an additional staking loop in the middle, to keep water off of the wall and out of the tent. The biggest negative, however, is that the tent does not stand up to wind in the least. At the end of our trip, the two main (not pre-bent) poles ended up bending to 90 degrees and one snapped, while every other pole has mild to significant bending. One of the velcro straps also tore away from the rainfly, rendering it useless. We loved the space and storage in the tent, however the overall performance left us disappointed for the price. I would recommend this tent if you are certain that the weather is fair, but if there is a chance of rain or wind then something else will be more suitable.
