Slashing through knee-deep powder on an untouched backcountry line is about as close to Nirvana as we can get, so it's no surprise that the Nirvana 25L Backpack's comfortable design and backcountry-focused features make the experience even more blissful. Ideally sized as a pack for shorter excursions, the second-smallest Nirvana pack has an easily accessible front pocket designated to keep our avalanche safety gear organized and close by if we need it. Attachment points for poles and ice-axes keep important tools stashed when not in use, and ski and snowboard carries keep us prepared for steeper, more technical sections of bootpacking.

Perfect sized bag
this is the best sized bag I've used yet. It's right in the sweet spot that allows you to carry the necessities for days trips. Anything bigger would make me want to carry more. This also has the easy access to your avvy gear which is nice.

Great ski pack
This is a great pack for resort skiing/going off piste in controlled environments. The back is structured to evenly distribute the contents you place inside, preventing it from bunching up in an uncomfortable ball at your lower back.

Fine but Dissapointing
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
The bag is constructed well and has nice features like the rear opening but is overall impractical. The rear opening forces you to take it off and put it down in the snow to get anything out of it, unlike the Ortovox side opening which allows you to keep the bag slung on your shoulder. Additionally the bag does not include any mechanism for carrying a helmet on the uphill, which I didn't realize when buying it since that's an ESSENTIAL element for a backcountry bag and I assumed it would. Lastly, if you don't own a Mammut probe, it won't fit in this bag. Their probes are a few cm shorter when folded than most other brands and they have conveniently built this bag to only just fit their probe length.

Great quality product. It is the perfect size for days at the resort and a day of off resort backcountry.

Great Bag
I purchased this bag as a snowmobiling bag for a trip to Wyoming over Christmas break. This bag has been great. I haven't had any trouble, and it will hold up to anything. I have run it into branches and taken a couple of falls still in perfect condition. I would highly recommend it.

I was in between the Nirvana 25 and 35, so I got both. I was looking for a pack I can use on tours, but also at the resort. I'd say the Nirvana 25 will be used more often as it is a better resort pack, and a quick touring pack. Lightweight, good construction, good fit. Great for quick avy supplies. The 35 is a more robust pack with a goggle protector and more room. On cold weather days or more intense days I'll use this - where I'll pack more layers, maybe some more avalanche rescue or recovery equipment. I went with the Sapphire and the color is amazing. Will update this thread more with use.

Just the right size. We have used this for day resort skiing, backcountry day trips, pulling an ice fishing pulk sled, etc. Highly recommend

Simple Ski Touring/Guiding Pack
Best ski guide pack I have ever used. Has all the requirements. Volume for all my work gear. Purpose built avalanche safety gear pocket for shovel, probe and saw. Comfortable shoulder straps, the hip pouch for a tool and scraper and beefy fabric to survive the wear and tear of use.

Good quality
Great functionality and good quality. I wish all Mammut's backpacks were this quality.
