Dry and durable

I'm bought this as a replacement for my first Kento hard shell which I put through the wringer for about 2.5 years. It showed little to no signs of wear and remained bone dry. There isn't a whole lot to it, but that's part of what I like. It does its job. It's front pockets are compatible with a climbing harness and while the hood will fit over my helmet, it can also be adjusted to be comfortable and snug on my bare head. It has a nice athletic cut so it isn't too baggy either, but I can still get a base layer and puffy under it without feeling restricted. It has generous armpit vets for those wet, warm days. Whether you are running to the local bar in a downpour, or up in the mountains for a soggy week--this jacket gets it done. If you are looking for a great hard shell that won't break the bank look no further.

I was excited for this jacket but unfortunately after the third time I used it snowboarding it ended up soaking through completely just from light snow. Now I wasn?t expecting Gore-Tex level performance but for a jacket advertised as waterproof that?s simply not acceptable. Maybe the one I got was just poorly manufactured but it soaked through all the seams and even through two of the pockets that were fully zipped all day. Other reviewers seem to like the jacket though so maybe mine is just faulty.

This is perfect for the money - keeps the rain and wind out but lets me breathe. I keep it in my Jeep year 'round in Colorado as I never know when I will run into rain, snow or just catch altitude fever and climb some peaks. It has kept up with me every step of the way and is my go-to outer layer. My only complaint is the neck can be a little tight.
