Great ice climbing pants
The pants are great. The only reason I did not give them a 10 was because the fly zipper is way to short. I've actually sent Mammut a note about it. I've noticed this on other snow pants of theirs. Specifically my ski uniform which is Mammut. I suggest they put these pants on along with a climbing harness and then try to relieve themselves.

just got these
just got these as I wanted something slimmer below the knee for ice climbing. lots of great design features, gator clip that tucks away when not being used at top of the list. definitely a trim fit, especially if you didn't skip leg day. tried them on with my normal base layer. my ass looks great...lol I'm 5'8" 170lbs and ordered a 32

Amazing pants
One of the best alpine/ice climbing pants I've ever tried so far. Fit is perfect. I am 5'6 and weight 165lbs and got a size 32 regular.

Extremely warm yet feel like normal pants!
These are an absolute must for extremely cold and demanding adventures! They are thin enough to be able to complete the most technical of approaches, yet warm enough for sub-zero tempos with a windchill of 30 below. Just a base layer under is all I needed while up the Rocky mountains.

Top choice for heavy-weight softshell
I've had these pants for quite a while now and they've been my go-to for winter activities that don't warrant a hardshell. I've been ice climbing, ski touring, and mountaineering in them primarily in Colorado and Alaska. The features on them are great - they really stay out of the way. My only complaint/caution would be for athletes with thick legs - size up. The waist adjust is super flexible, so you'll be able to take it back out of the waist. I normally wear a 30 and I ended up fitting best in a 34 with the waist adjust cranked all the way down (leaving room for base layers, etc).

Incredible soft shells
For two weeks, I exclusively wore these pants in the Alaskan backcountry, skiing and climbing. I had an extra pair of softs that I never had to bust out. These were super comfortable, fit true to size even with a baselayer underneath, and we're incredibly quick moisture wicking. You can wallow in waist deep snow for hours and never feel an ounce of moisture. Wind protection was notable as well. The crampon pads in the back and the friction pads on the inside ankle were a nice addition. Helped to make sure my pants wouldn't ride up above my boot, or allow any snow in.

Quality at its best.
Purchased to wear alpine & ice climbing. The overall design and quality of the Mammut Eisfeld Advanced SO Pants is nothing short of top notch quality. I have a size 33 waist and ordered size 34 pants, they fit perfectly and the harness compatible waist band makes for a very comfortable fit when wearing a harness. Although it's a personal preference, I found the color Night nicer and not as dark as it appears online. Every feature is well thought out and executed.

Decent Softshell... Shells.
I would size 1-2 above your size to have enough room for layers. Decent design, stretchy. I'm not as flexible as these pants are. I like the crampon/ski edge protection on the inside ankle area.
