I love this backpack. It is comfortable and a good size for long day hikes. it is a little bit of a hassle to get in and out of and I wish the chest clip was attached to a strap instead of a bungee, but overall I'm very happy with this one.

Comfortable Day Hiking
Took this out on a day hike with the family. It carried all the gear without feeling heavy. The space for airflow on my back was amazing in the hot humid weather.

Are you a daypack or backpack?
I really like the pack and it has worked out great on several outings already. The size, shape, pockets, features, integrated rain cover, etc. are all great. My only two knocks are (1) I bought this is a daypack, but the integrated frame makes it seem like a backpack and makes it impossible to fold or pack down into my main pack, and (2) if you are not not someone who hikes with hiking poles that breakdown really small, then the orange rope on the belt is somewhat useless. I've been trying to repurpose it because I use regular poles and and not interested in trading up/down to the ones that breakdown more, so I'm not really sure what to do with the belt and rope setup. Overall, I would not hesitate to buy this pack again, I just wish I I could figure out if there is an easy way to remove the "frame" so it could be folded and it in my main pack because even with the extra support, it's simply too small as a true backpack for anything more than maybe a day.

Excellent summer day pack.
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
Very well thought out pack. Comfortable S straps with Mesh pockets on front. Trekking pole attachments on waist AND on back of pack. Superior back ventilation system. Angle of pack mesh pockets makes it super easy to reach a water bottle on the go. Built in Rain cover. Very light. Gripes: could have an extra outer pocket on back of pack and there is only one waist belt pocket. Overall it?s very comfortable. No durability issues as of yet. I?ve heard people say they dont like the bungee but it can be easily replaced with camelback chest strap or something similar. I like the bungee personally.

Great lightweight daypack.
Nice to have accessible side pockets while wearing the pack and to be able to carry my walking poles on the side of the pack vs the back where they get in the way of accessing the main bag. Its lightweight and great design. All around a great pack.

not gonna hold up
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
kind of a cool pack but there are a few weak spots for such an expensive pack. For one the mesh side pockets tore the first time using it. had a water bottle in it and when I put it down on a rock it ripped were the bottle was pushing again the mesh. Overall the fabric feels brittle and am thinking this pack is not going to hold up. The sternum strap bungie cord is too stretchy and does not work nearly as good as a regular strap. Second item from this brand I've had issues with on the same order. Probably last time buying Mammut.
