Modesto 3 Cycling Jacket

The Modesto 3 is the latest generation of Louis Garneau's most popular men's cycling jacket. It may not be as breathable or versatile as the more expensive Spire jacket, but its combination of a wind- and water-resistant main body material and highly breathable paneling under the arms means it's more than enough jacket to see most cyclists through from November to March.

As with its predecessors, the Modesto 3 is also cut more generously than LG's race wear, so it can accommodate insulating sublayers to keep you riding in the depths of winter. A less flattering fit is a small price to pay for a jacket that'll keep you off the indoor trainer and out on the road for longer.

Great light jacket

Familiarity:
I've used it several times
Size Bought:
Medium

This is a great light jacket that I usually use when I start riding in the morning and it's cool outside. The jacket is windbreaker and it does its job well. Once I warm up, it compacts down nicely to fit in my back pocket.

I like it!

It fits well, is light and folds down to store small and denies wind entry.

Perfect

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

I'm chest size 38R and 29" waist, and this jacket fits nicely around the chest with just enough room for movement but not too much. Also fits snugly at the waist. Jacket has a slippery nylon feel. The yellow color is perfect for visibility.

I thought I will be steaming hot in it but it breaths excellent, even on hot days that part is awesome. I?m 180 lb 511, large is slightly big and flops in the wind, it is a bit baggy, so go size lower because side panels stretch. It does not stay down and it rises up when you ride in bike shorts, when in casual pants it?s ok.
