CB Carbon 2 Bib Short
With their incorporation of cooling technologies and the antistatic, anti-odor properties of carbon fiber, Louis Garneau's CB Carbon 2 Bib Shorts are just as appropriate for long training rides and sportives as they are for hard racing in your local crit series.
The CB Carbon shorts are, unsurprisingly, made from CB Carbon+ fabric. It maintains a confident fit with gentle compression and a comfortable temperature with sun-reflecting Coldblack treatment. The legs terminate in LG's leg bands of LG's Endurexx material, which also shows up in the side panels. Like CB Carbon+, Endurexx is also gently compressive, so it maintains leg coverage and limits fatigue without cutting into your legs like the usual elastic insert.
The shorts' 11 ergonomic panels are held in their assigned locations by straps of Highlander Mesh bibs mated to a Carbon X-Mesh back for an overall bib construction that breathes and wicks (the Highlander Mesh) and absorbs fatiguing road noise without absorbing moisture (the Carbon X-Mesh). The 4 Motion chamois brings up the rear with frontal vents, bacteriostatic properties, and smoothly transitioning thicknesses of perforated foam padding relieved with a central channel.

My personal favorite
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
- Size Bought:
- Xl
Without hesitation, this has to be the most comfortable and natural feeling bib that I have worn. I have purchased three or four of these and I won’t wear anything else, no issues with a sore bum no matter how long I ride as long as I wear these LG bibs.

My Absolute Favorite Bibs
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
I have owned four pairs of these over the last six years, and they are now the only ones I wear. I have slowly but surely eliminated other shorts. The fit is snug, with no chafing or bunching, and with good compression. The chamois is very durable. My oldest pair is now 5 years old, and I still use it (I ride about 5k miles/year and rotate all four). Shoulder straps are soft and comfortable, and the back is cool for long summer days in the saddle. I am 6'-0", 164lbs, and Large fits me perfectly. Highly recommend

Runs very small
- Familiarity:
- I returned this product before using it
I am 5'9", around 240 lbs. I have a couple LG bibs from about 7 years ago that are 2XL which fit me very well, so I ordered this in a 2XL. This is very small, could barley get it over my muffin top. I suspect LG now thinks of 2XL as being for skinny people that are tall. I will have to stick to the company that make cycling clothing specifically for us big but not tall guys.

Ok but not my favorite
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
Comfort was 5-Star but the fit didn't match the comfort. I'm 6'2" and 170 lbs. I ordered XL to make certain they were long enough on my thigh/leg. They were but there is no grip around the bottom of the legs and the shorts immediately rode up my thighs way beyond my tan lines. I am returning them.
