That cough sure came on suddenly, but it cleared up equally quickly, so you might as well make the most of being magically un-bedridden by loading up the Line Sick Day Tourist Ski and venturing up into the mountains as a way of giving thanks to the power of modern medicine, positive thinking, and panacea. The Sick Day packs a traditional Line feel——playful, versatile, and just jibby enough——into a lightweight package, which uses a wood and composite Cloud Core and tapered Thin Tip to reduce weight whether you're on the snow or in the air. The 102mm waist width is right in the sweet spot for serious all-conditions touring, and the CapWall hybrid cap and sidewall construction is lighter than traditional sidewalls but sturdier than a cap, so you can push the Sick Day hard without making it fall ill.
The Sick Day Tourist is more of an all-mountain plank than a jib stick, so it has a directional flex and and moderate tip and tail rocker than make high-speed turns and pow slashes more than manageable. Taper in the tip lets you make smooth, hook-free turns in variable and soft conditions, and Line's Fivecut sidecut blends five different sidecut radii to give you the ability to make easy turns of all shapes. Underfoot camber lets you rally hard, and the long effective edge provides serious hold when you lay your boards over for some hardpack hammering.
