went up half size
I had to go up a half size in these. I do have a med/wide foot, which may have been part of it, but my toes were right at the end of the Women's 9.5's so I went up to a Women's 10. It seems they are marketing these more as a unisex shoe but noting traditional mens/women's size equivalents. When the "women's" wasn't available in the color I wanted, I was able to order the "men's." That worked out great. I am happy to report the rubber seemed grippier than I was expecting for a hybrid/casual hiking sneaker while hiking over rocks in the desert. I dig the style overall.

Terrible longevity
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
These shoes started out great and I actually loved them. Not only do I think they look great but they were comfortable and were exactly what I needed; a shoe for walking around the city and light hiking. However, after only about 2 months of wear, it seems as though a plastic piece in the heel has come dislodged and they are so uncomfortable that they are now entirely unwearable. For this price, I would expect much higher quality and longevity. Would not recommend.

Good compromise

More rugged that perhaps a normal trail running shoe, but not as stiff as a dedicated hiker. Good ventilation and construction seems solid. I like that it has a quasi-retro look and doesn't scream hiking shoe. Didn't need much break-in, and fit me well - I have slightly narrow and low-volume feet, and with a medium cushion sock these were perfect.

Stiff and not particularly wide
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I am a woman with a pretty wide foot and have been either barefoot or wearing minimal shoes for a while. I chose a men's shoe hoping for it to be wide enough. I used the sizing chart and ordered the sizing based on length of foot. It fit me barefoot but would never have with hiking socks. The shoe felt very stiff, not as marketed on Lems website. The 4 mm drop bothered me as I am used to 0 mm drop. I might order again a larger size just for hiking, but probably not, as I really wanted to find a shoe that I could wear hiking and around town.
