Great climbing pants

These pants are great dry weather bouldering or climbing pants. I love the funky colors, and personally own the orange ones. There isn't a side pocket, but the front pockets are SO DEEP that doesn't matter too much. It's only a bummer if you wear these while rope climbing because the harness blocks you from getting into the pocket. A side pocket modification would level these pants up in terms of functionality. Two uber deep pockets in front isn't super functional if you can't get into them during the intended activity. My other complaint about the functionality is that these pants are heavy/thick, and therefore pretty warm. Given that they're cotton, it's obvious the intended season for them is warm season, so making them even a little thinner, or adding vent panels, would be better imo. I like the shape of them and appreciate the high waist and drawstring. I don't have to deal with a belt or worry about them sliding down. Last two things, they don't wash well. I'm not sure what it is about the fabric, but they are stained with dirt and I've never been able to get them clean. Additionally, they run QUITE SMALL. I am solidly a size M/6 in pants and leggings, but had to buy a large and even then they're a wee bit tight on me. So you should definitely size up. Tried the medium first and couldn't even get the waist band over my thighs which is ridiculous in my opinion.

New Favorite
of all the pants Sportiva has made over the years, these are my favorite to date. I used to be loyal only to the Tundra, until the Mantra came along. The material is really good for a wide range of temperatures, because its a bit thicker, thus can be warmer than cotton layers but also repels sweat and dries quickly if it's a bit warmer. The cut is really flattering because they are just tight enough to look feminine without restricting movement. These are pretty much always my go to pants now. The waist is a little tight, so I tend to size up a little for comfort.

Good but not Great
I honestly love everything about these pants but there's one thing that really kills it for me, the waistband. It's stretchy but it's a tight-woven "stretchy." This is obviously nice for climbing but it's almost too much and given that the rise is also low, it's pushes out a lot of the things that don't need to be pushed out. It really squeezes your belly and I'm a pretty slim fit person as it is. They fit amazing otherwise, have great stretch everywhere and are loose but not sloppy, and are still stylish that you can go into town for brews and not need a change of clothes, unless it was a gnarly day. If they could change the waistband out and make it a little higher rise, these would be PERFECT and I would buy every color they make. For now, I'm really on the fence to keep these or not because of the tummy squeeze.

Sizing is weird
Although I absolutely love the material, colors and design of these pants, the elastic waistband is suuuuuper tight. Gives an unpleasant muffin top. I returned and ordered a size up, but there really wasn't a difference in fit between a S and M.

G.O.A.T Pants for climbing...and more!
Best pants I have ever owned. I have them in 3 colors. They are comfortable, stretchy, stylish, breathable...and best of all, have huge pockets. I like to do big alpine trad days and the pockets are big enough that I can stick all my snacks, phone, and headlamp in my pockets comfortably and skip the backpack - pretty unheard of for women's pants! I find the waistband plays well with a harness, too. I'm 5'3 125# and the small fits well. I used to only wear them for climbing, but honestly, they are so comfortable and move so well, I also wear them on colder running days more and more frequently because they are quite practical and possibly more comfortable than leggings.

Best pants ever
I'm super picky with pants. I like them loose, but not so loose that they look baggy and unattractive. These pants have the absolute perfect cut, tight/loose in the right places, and very comfortable. The waistband is a little tight, but overall the pants are very comfortable. in LOVE

almost awesome
I love everything about these pants except one thing: the elastic waistband is a little too tight for my belly, so they end up rolling down. I’m 5’3”, about 140lbs and I got a medium. It’s usually pretty difficult for me to find pants that fit my bodacious booty, thick thighs, massive calves and short stature ;) I’ve got a little more to love around my waist, so these are a bit too tight in that area. I really wish they would have made the rise a little higher, or wouldn’t have used such a thick elastic waistband. Other than that, the material is super durable, yet stretchy, and I love all of the big pockets. If I would have gotten a size large, I think they would have been way too long and baggy. They would be great for someone with a slimmer waist for sure.

Favorite climbing pants
I’ve had several pairs of these and the are my all time favorite climbing pants. Great to lounge in too. The material is both comfortable and durable. They also dry quickly if you get rained on. Despite being male I always opt for these pants designed for women.

sizing has changed since last year
I love these pants. I got a second pair this year after getting one last year. They are very comfortable, stretchy and versatile. The only problem is that last years pants were a size medium and I have plenty of space in them. This years medium are tight (I swear they must be a small mislabelled). I still fit in them but I went from a slightly loose fit to a tight on my bum fit. I wear a medium, am 5'7'' and 145lbs (muscular).
