Greate intermediate shoes (indoor)
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
- Size Bought:
- 42
For edging: Wonderful - the front portion is hard enough to protect your toes, so slopey volumes or smearing will be moderately comfortable. For overhangs: The Kubo are slightly downturn, so you won't cut feet easily compared to the Aragon, for example. For some reason my left shoe is breaking in more slowly than my right, but I guess that's not a huge concern. These are _wonderful_ shoes and I'm glad I got them on sale =)

Love them! My first non rental shoe
- Familiarity:

I bought the Kubo as my first non rental shoe. I wanted something moderate so that I wouldn't quickly outgrow it and it would be a level above the basic entry level shoes. I wear a street size 43 and went for 42 with these shoes based on advice from some more experience climbers. They're snug and might need to be taken off to give your foot a break but they don't pinch or bite anywhere. I straight went an entire level up on the V scale just because of the shoes and the confidence they gave me!

Great shoes, weird sizing
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times

- 39

The shoes are great. Super-precise without being too uncomfortably aggressive. But the sizing is weird. I have many pairs of La Sportivas, and all my other climbing shoes are 37 with a comfortable fit, 36.5 tight. In Kubos I need 39 for a precise fit. Yes, two full sizes larger than usual for me.
