Or—in the case of the Klymit Double V Sleeping Pad—one is better than two. This inflatable pad works better for couples than trying to push two sleeping pads together, and the side-by-side use of Klymit's V-Chamber construction means that the movement of air between the sides is limited; no need to worry that you'll disturb your partner if you wake up in the middle of the night. The patented design delivers support and comfort to sleepers of all ilks—side, belly, and back—and uses a pattern of deep welds that discourages the pad from flattening out when you're on it. Side rails are integrated into the patterning to cradle you as you sleep, preparing you and your partner for tomorrow's adventures.

Won't Hold Air
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
I have owned two of these pads, one of which is a warranty replacement for the first one I bought. The pad is very comfortable and packs relatively small for car camping or river trips. It is too heavy and bulky for technical or weight-sensitive missions. It fits two people very comfortably. Unfortunately, neither pad I have owned has been very durable, and within ~20 nights of sleeping on each pad, they have started to spring leaks. At first I'll be surprised, and I'll patch a leak, then another one will appear, and another one... this has happened with both pads I've owned. In neither instance did I sleep on the pad in a particularly prickly environment, and the pad has only been used inside tents or on tarps, etc. At this point, I won't seek a warranty replacement, because I just won't trust the third pad to hold air when I need it to.
