The recent explosion of gravel grinding and all-road adventuring has left us with a new standard for what our bikes should be able to accomplish. The bar has been raised, and now we seek out not only dirt fire roads, and gravely mountain paths, but also that hasty double-track shortcut on our weekend Idahoan adventure, which will get us to an ice cream break in town that much sooner. The Quincy Carbon CC GRX Gravel Bike will get us there and as far off the map as we're willing to go. With a finely tuned carbon frame and fork that's built to handle the rumbling terrain past the tarmac, and a geometry to keep us sane when we're set in our riding position for hours on end, this is the bike to keep us moving and grooving no matter the terrain or destination.
The Quincy adapts to our needs as a rider with plenty of fine-tuning opportunities to make this bike our own. With the option to run 700c hoops or 650b wheels, we can also choose to beef up our setup with lofty tires up to 45mm and 2.1in, respectively. A pleasingly simple and clean design features cleverly routed hydraulic disc brakes that leave us in control, no matter the weather or terrain, and a frame that can accommodate a dual chainring setup or a sleek one-by drivetrain. While we think a one-by arrangement is synonymous with fewer maintenance issues, we appreciate that Juliana leaves us the option to slap on a clamp-on front derailleur for additional gearing.
Juliana implements its CC level carbon fiber on the Quincy, providing a sleek layup that holds up to whatever terrain we're traveling over so we can keep moving in confidence when the tarmac ends. A relatively slack geometry means this steed, with a 69.5-degree head tube angle (size 49) and a longer wheelbase, will be fully rigid with additional stability on uneven terrain. This head tube angle, paired with a steep 74.5-degree seat tube, allows us to stay at the center of our cockpit should we decide to take on speedier challenges than a solo off-road adventure.
*Due to unprecedented demand in the global supply chain and the bike industry over the last 18 months, material weight and exact components are subject to change. We are working diligently to keep tech specs updated, and any adjustments will be minor. If you have any questions, reach out to a Gearhead by chatting online or calling 1-888-276-7130.
