Carbon Solution Splitboard

This isn't the board for mellow pow laps on low-angle terrain or playfully cruising. On the contrary, the Jones Carbon Solution Splitboard caters to hard-charging backcountry riders looking to straight-line chutes and dismantle the steepest, gnarliest terrain with pinpoint precision. Building off the iconic performance of the regular Solution, the Carbon Solution is a souped-up beast that's extremely stiff, incredibly light and exceptionally damp, thanks to extensive carbon reinforcement and a brand-new Ultra Split-Core 2.0. Its directional shape excels in deep, untracked powder, also busting through chop and variable conditions without flinching. The Directional Rocker combines the benefits of a prominent, rockered nose for incredible float, with the powerful response of camber underfoot.

Inside this hard-charging board, the brand-new Ultra Split-Core 2.0 shaves serious weight for the long skin up, without sacrificing structural integrity. It's made of a durable triple-density wood that's reinforced with hardwood stringers along the edges for increased impact-resistance and powerful response. Bi-directional carbon construction acts as an ultra-stiff backbone, providing full, tip-to-tail reinforcement along the top and bottom of the board's wood core. This construction technique yields a super-stiff flex throughout the board's life.

New for 2016, the Carbon Solution uses a Sintered Ultra base that's modified with fluoro and paraffin-based additives for wicked-fast glide, as well as increased durability in widely varying backcountry conditions. Until recently, this base material was only available on specialty race skis, making it an excellent choice for maintaining maximum speed, especially through deep snow and long run-outs at the bottom of the mountain. Another important feature is the Mellow Magne-Traction along the inside and outside edges. These small serrations substantially increase edgehold when you're skinning up and shredding down icy, hardpacked snow.
