Good Quality

I was given the new Jaybird Vista 2 Wireless Earbuds from Backcountry, but this review is absolutely my own opinion. I tried the Jaybirds for a few weeks and have some feedback. Overall, they feel very great in quality. The buttons are super nice and function well. If you are looking for something that stays put in your ear, these should be considered. Additionally, they come with 3 different size inserts, which makes it really helpful for getting your ear size right. The carrying case is super nice and they charge very fast. The noise-canceling is very well done. The ambient sound mode is a bit loud in wind, but not so bad in normal conditions. I used them inside for work and on runs. I liked them for work best. They do not handle wind extremely well. If you are in a windy area, I recommend checking out another model from them. Ultimately, they were not for me given that I wanted them for windy conditions. But the Jaybird Vista 2 Wireless Earbuds are certainly are nice and I can see the value here for someone wanting noise-canceling earbuds.

Great earbuds for running that stay put!

I was given this product from Backcountry, but this review Is my personal opinion. I am not normally an earbud person, but the Jaybird Vista 2 has changed my mind! I am training for my first Ultra Marathon, a 50K, and these have been a lifesaver on those long, lonely miles. I have really tiny ear canals and these are the only earbuds I have had that stay in . They come with 3 different sizes and the smallest ones fit great. The only time I have them come loose is when I am really sweaty. I live in the South and it gets HOT, but I can just take them out, wipe them off, and put them back in. I also love that you can run with just one in. They have the surround sense function and noise canceling function, which is great for when I run trails or using them for audio books etc, but when I am on the road I like to just have one in so I can hear the traffic around me. I think the sound quality is great, you can hear the wind at times, but that doesn't bother me. I also have dropped these several times and they just bounce and come away unscathed. They were easy to set up with my iPhone, but you do have to "connect" with the app every time you use them. The battery life has been great. Overall, I look forward to many many more miles with these earbuds and would definitely recommend them for high levels of activity, especially if you have small ears canals like me and are searching for an earbud that stays put!

Pretty Awesome Earbuds for Active Folks

I was given this product from Backcountry, but this review is my personal opinion. The Jaybird Vista 2 earbuds are pretty darn awesome and are growing me every time I use them! I haven’t used them yet for making calls, etc., but they are solid for groovin’ while being active outdoors! The Good: Nice secure fit - and adaptable (three sizing options for each ear). It’s really nice to have some earbuds that you know aren’t going to pop out when you have to run to get out of the rain, or aren’t going to get caught in your hoody if you take it off mid-walk. Trust me, I’ve had a few other bluetooth ear buds start to fall out or land on the pavement - not cool. These Jaybird Vista 2’s are secure and I don’t have to worry about that happening! I also am really digging the intuitive controls for volume and changing between songs, etc. It took me a bit to get used to, but it’s been nice to hit one side to go back or turn the volume down and the other side for going forward or turning the volume up. Sometimes it’s the small things that make you appreciate something more than you think you would! The Bad: ANC doesn’t work that well for me. It could be that the ear bud takes up a lot of space in the ear, so it blocks some of the outside noise for me, or it just could be my hearing due to my job. It’s also really windy where I live, so hard to really get rid of that and it probably plays a role. Also, I’ve lost connection a couple of times with the earbuds when out for a long walk and I couldn’t get it back without having the case. Two minor “bad” things, but in the grand scheme of things not bad at all. Overall: The Jaybird Vista 2’s are some pretty nice earbuds, especially if you are active and need a secure fit. Definitely worth giving a shot if you’re for a bluetooth option! Just keep an eye on them - someone might want to "borrow" them and you might not get them back! :)

SOLID Set of Ear Phones

I was given a pair of these by Backcountry.com to use. Fit: I have had really good luck with the right out of the box attachments, but they include others to ensure a proper fit. I have not had them fall out yet which is great! ANC: Woot! the Active Noise Canceling has been really great, especially when I am someplace loud or on a plane. Definite upgrade for sure! Battery Life: pretty solid... I find that I don't really think about charging them. I set them on a Qi Charger overnight and then grab them in the morning and they are good to go for the whole day. Sound Quality and Call Quality have all been top notch. I get less complaints on these than the other ear buds I occasionally run with ANC. I am admittedly not an audiophile, but between the ANC and the WindDefense, sound quality is noticeably better on these than their predecessor. Overall: I recommend these if you are looking for a solid, rugged pair of ear buds. I would have definitely purchased these to upgrade 100% Thank you Backcountry.

Love at First Listen

Initial impressions...stoked! The Jaybird Vista 2 headphones feature three earbud attachments allowing you to dial in your fit. Two of the three eargels have the curved rubber pieces that fit in your ear holding the buds snuggly in place - one smaller, one larger set. Personally, I'd love a set that falls in the middle of those two sizes, but the fact you can mix and match if need be is great. More importantly, the sound quality is excellent. The new Vista 2's feature both ANC (active noise cancellation) and SurroundSense, allowing you to adjust settings based on your needs. For the office or traveling, the ANC is great. For exercising, the surround sense is great, allowing you to listen to whatever it is you're listening to, while still being able to hear what's going on you, as much as needed for safety. Better, you can set the headphones so you can toggle between the two with a simple double tap of the headphones. The Vista 2 headphones feature WindDefense fabric, meant to cut down on outside noise. While on the mountain bike, it does help, but you'll still hear the wind at high speeds. The biggest improvement I've found between the Vista and Vista 2 buds is the mic. The WindDefense fabric certainly helps here, where whoever was on the other end of my calls with the Vista buds often had a very difficult time hearing me. Last but not least, they're EARTHPROOF. Get em dirty, get em wet, drop em on the trail, and they'll continue to hold up to the elements. If you're looking for your next wireless ear buds, the Jaybird Vista 2 headphones are for you.
