Jackson Kayak designed the Riviera to be stable, fun to paddle, and easy to transport to and from the H2O; it's relatively wide (roughly 30in at its widest point) for a boat of its class, making it stable enough to inspire confidence in beginner paddlers, but with a gently rockered bow, the Riviera is still plenty maneuverable to keep it fun for the more experience paddler to kick around in. The boat is rigged with a molded seat and foot rest, and it has open storage space behind the seat for a small cooler with a small day hatch in front of the seat for those smaller items that need to stay dry. Getting the boat back to the rig after a day on the lake is easy thanks to the built-in skid plate, which allows the boat to be dragged across everything from sandy beaches to parking lot asphalt without you having to worry about putting a hole in the hull.
