Merino Wool at its best
I have so many Icebreaker articles of clothing because I love their products. I have base layers (top and bottom) and mid layers. All of them have performed very well in the trial period while I am hiking and biking my local trails. The ultimate test is when I take them on my treks to Africa and climb and summit Mount Kilimanjaro in March of 2025. I will update my review after my trip. I am certain that they will perform very well. Icebreaker merino is awesome. They performed flawlessly while climbing and summiting Kilimanjaro.

Great fit and very comfortable

Awesome Jacket

Stylish and comfy, but not inspiringly warm
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a very comfortable fleece with a nice slim fit. Good under an outer jacket and over a light layer. However, it's not super warm for a fleece; there are better options for warmth while skiing.

This is the third Descender jacket I've bought.

Fantastic sweater
I’ve worn this on everything from all day ski tours as a mid layer to a “dress sweater” going out for dinner after skiing. Even works on a casual workday. Fit runs fairly snug, so be warned if you’re burly or a little thicker. Fantastic product.

GREAT for my commute
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I don't live in such a cold place during the cold seasons so having one of this and a decent base layer would get me by. Considering that I use a roadbike bike I tend to overheat if I layer too much but the fact that this sweater had a good venting in the form starting from the underside of the wrists, under the armpits, and down to the waist, made it a good system while retaining some warmth back. I love the feel but I gave it 4 instead of 5 star because IB is now starting to mix in their merino and I don't like that. I purchased many products from IB over the years and I feel that if merino is pricey I don't want it to be mixed with something less. When I compare my hoody descender to this one it doesn't feel as nice. I wouldn't deter people from buying this because I myself think this is a good purchase for the lifestyle I live. I would also think it would be nice if they offer vest versions of these. Maybe put some merino loft or quilt/other insulation in certain areas for a more perfomative approach.

Love the fit of this jacket - dress up or dress down
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted something similar to the Icebreaker hoodies I picked up primarily for travel in a blue. This will be great for that but also is a nice casual and semi-casual sweater. Nice for a cooler day in the office or conferences.
