Very Short Lived
I loved these boxers at first and bought several pairs, but within a year every single pair I owned completely wore out in the crotch. It became a joke with my wife. Has to trash them all.

I got these to try out instead of synthetic boxer briefs, and they are definitely an upgrade. They’ve kept me dry and comfy through many heavy workouts and hikes, and haven’t chafed or started stinking once. I do have one big problem with them, they have a seam that runs right up the butt and pretty much give you a constant wedgie. If they would get rid of that seam these would be the best boxers on the market.

Almost great
The wool is nice and soft but the legs ride up like crazy. Could be my thick thighs but I can’t suggest these.

Comfy, but poor build quality
These are very comfy and nice, but they wore out and got frayed in under a year of use. The boxer brief is separating from the seem on the elastic waistband in multiple spots. Icebreaker is owned by smartwool now, so unfortuntely, the reliability is no longer strong like it used to be.

Very comfortable but wear out quic. Great for daily use and activities like running and hiking Icebreaker merino wool boxers have become an essential part of my wardrobe. They offer unparalleled comfort and exceptional performance. If you're looking for the best in comfort and performance for your undergarments, these are hard to beat. Highly recommended. I'd buy this product again. Durability aside they are great

My year-round, go-to underwear
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I went through a phase of trying all different kinds of underwear. I finally found these which have been my year-round, go-to pair ever since. I live in Texas, and I tend to sweat a lot in the summer time, and these do a great job of keeping me as dry and cool as possible. If I'm ever in a pinch and have to wear them 2 days in a row, they stay stink-free. My size is XL. I'm 5 foot 8 inches and weigh right around 200 pounds. Also, I always let them air dry, or stick them in the dryer for a very short amount of time on delicate. I don't want to take any chances of them shrinking, and it helps them last longer.

The most breathable underwear out there
I have been a fan of icebreaker for 4 years now. It is the ONLY underwear that I use for backpacking trips, and often the underwear I use for everyday life as well. Sure, the durability isn't as good as cotton or polyester, but it literally never smells, it dries super fast, and it prevents chafing and sweating. Order at least a full size up if you're not used to a "European" fit.

Recommending underwear
I had to laugh being asked whether I would reccomend this item. I can just picture myself out at a brewery with some friends - “Oh! By the way - this underwear, you gotta try it!” It’s merino underwear - I got XL based on the sizing and wished I’d gotten L as it’s slightly baggy. I haven’t used it enough yet to know if it keeps up to its promise of staying a bit less fragrant on long backpacking trips.

My new favorite underwear
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've worn patagonia underwear and practically everything else for decades. I also purchased a lot of icebreaker products--teeshirts, long sleeve heavyweight shirts, a hoody--when the company first came out, thanks to Rock and Snow, New Paltz, NY. And now, the underwear. I don't know why I waited, but anyway, they feel great, fit great, I bought 6 pairs. I wear them with suits and any outdoor gear. I'm 63, 5'9" 180 so extralarge fit great. I don't like a tight fit and this was just right for my 35-37 inch waist, depending on how recently I've been to New Orleans. The fly works effortlessly and length is good. They feel very light and you can kind of forget you have them on.
