Dedicated runners often have dedicated shoes for road and trail, but to simplify our collection, we're grateful for HOKA's Challenger ATR 7 Wide Running Shoe. This innovative running shoe was built to tackle both road and trail running, with proprietary rubber soles inspired by gravel bike tires that grip on uneven, variable surfaces. The wide fit provides comfort for runners with a wider foot, and the new extended heel pull makes getting in and out of the shoe easier.

Bought my 3rd pair of challengers
Very comfortable shoes for walking my dogs. One pair of Gore-Tex and 2 regular will see me through anything.

Just What My Feet Needed!
I am a 58-year-old female who enjoys trail walking about 3.5 miles a day. I have high arches and troubled feet with a bunion and occasional plantar fasciitis. I also have a wider foot base with a thinner heel, which makes it difficult to find the right shoe, especially in women's. I have worn Saucony, Brooks, Asics, Nike, Under Armour, OnCloud, Ryka, Addidas & more, but NOTHING compares to the comfort of the Hoka Challenger 7's!! They fit perfectly for my foot shape, provide great arch support and wear like a pair of good shock absorbers. AND... the best part is that twigs, rocks, & other debris from the woods doesn't get stuck in the treads of the shoes! LOVE THEM!

Pretty okay
Shoes are a lot lighter green in person. I was expecting the color on the website and was disappointed. They are my first Hokas and they are cushiony and lightweight but seem just as good as my Brooks. They are also big so maybe size down from your usual.

Comfy out of the box, but needed new insoles
Bought these for building my trail mileage for an upcoming fall marathon. Went full send and wore them on a 16 mile run for my first miles in them and was pleasantly surprised to be moderately comfortable. However, in the following days during my shorter runs, I developed really sharp pain in my left arch while running or even just walking around. This has happened to me in the Speed Goats, so I'm lead to believe this might be a common thing for me with Hokas? Luckily I had some currex insoles to throw in, and that felt a lot better on my most recent run. Hopefully that's a permanent fix.... Otherwise, I've enjoyed the shoes! They don't feel super stable on my local trails (some rocky sections), but it's fine if I stay alert.

These are the shoes to have
Felt great on my feet from the moment I put them on and took a walk. Felt stable and supported without feeling clunky. The online ordering tool was very helpful, also.

Love the shoes
I have at least 10 pairs of Hokas. No better comfort in a shoe ever made. Also see the medical professionals wearing them. Absolutely the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn.
