Made for day hikers who can't get enough cushion, HOKA's Anacapa 2 Low GTX Hiking Shoe keeps things light and plush on the trail. We love how HOKA's max cushion midsoles spoil our feet with max shock absorption, while the extended heel and Vibram Megagrip outsoles give us a stable, grippy base that smooths out our heel-to-toe transitions. The Anacapa 2 Low GTX is fully waterproof for damp and soggy trails with a Late Stage Meta-Rocker that steadies our steps on uneven terrain.

I would buy these shoes again
Hoka finally aced it. I was waiting for the wide version. It is fantastic. Comfortable. FYI, it feels larger than 13 size. But it is ok if you are hiking for long distances to manage the swelling of the feet. Goretex is definitely a plus. Height is perfect. The heel area is very comfortable. The only thing I can't evaluate and I have doubts about it is how long will it last. Hopefully my expectation is wrong.

Was hoping for better quality
I'm a letter carrier. I need good reliable walking/hiking sneakers. I know people have been raving about Hokas so I took a chance. I've been wearing them for about a month. Despite the waterproof claim, my toes get wet just walking through wet grass, granted I walk through alot of wet grass. I walk 4 to 7 miles a day. Also the material at the ankle dip is already starting to fray. They are indeed very comfortable and light and a pleasure to walk in otherwise and were a perfect fit at first try. Probably would not buy again, need to find some actual waterproof shoes.

I would it this item again!
Love the color combination. Difficult shoe to fit my foot. To get the right length)mens 9.5), the shoe feels a little wide in the ball area. While the men's size 9 felt just right in width in the ball area, crested some pressure in the big toe area of the right foot.

Nice shoe, but looser fit than other Hokas
These are really nice shoes, sturdy, comfortable, all the things you love about Hoka. I really like the olive color. All that said, still deciding if I will keep them or return them due to sizing. I have owned a dozen Hokas over the years. A size 12.5, normal width, has been perfect for all of them until now. As others have noted, this shoe seems a bit larger / looser than others. There is a lot of play in the heel area and it sometimes feels like you will walk right out of them. I suspect that a half size down on this model might be the right answer. I am concerned that on a long hike that the loose feel might be problematic on lgravel, over rocky terrain, etc. I will give them another day or 2 to decide.

Only a few hikes in…
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times

Have only gone on a few hikes so far but they are great. Light and comfortable. First time in maybe ever that I have hiked in low top hikers but I really like them, great grip in a rainy hike in New Hampshire’s Whites yesterday. Would definitely recommend them. We got pretty muddy and I haven’t cleaned them off yet. I am a 64 year old with a history of ankle sprains.
