Backcountry booters, pants-soiling lines, and super-skinny tree shots don't have anything on the High Society FR Ski. Built with total mountain domination in mind, the FR is a go-anywhere twintip that excels in pretty much whatever conditions you run into. The 179 is a full-on traditional-camber shredder, while the 185 throws in a significantly wider waist and a hit of early rise in the tip for better performance in soft and uneven snow. Both versions have a shortish turn radius and a snappy, carbon-stringer-boosted poplar core for cat-like response in tight situations, steadiness through choppy runouts, and pop in the park. Rubber-dampened 360-degree edges cut vibration on hard snow, and a tri-directional fiberglass core wrap combines with High Society’s screw retention system to ramp the FR’s toughness rating up into cage-match territory.
