Does the job
- Familiarity:

After dealing with cold fingers for years with mitts, liners, & chemical heat packs I recently decided to take a chance on these.I have had other Hestra products, I always size up 2 sizes from the Hestra size guide to allow for the liner glove. The size 11 Power Heater mitt does give me adequate space. This things seems well constructed with neat, uniform seams. I run these at level 2 which gives about the same warmth as a heat pack, with battery life over 6 hours. Others have commented that the Velcro closing the battery pocket isn't sturdy & I would agree. However, I have not noticed the batteries moving during use. Overall, I am happy I bought these, especially when on sale!

I purchased the white and grey version. Took these out on a 4 degree F day in Breckenridge, CO. Went to the very top of peak 8 on their highest lift where it was the coldest and windiest temps that day. Typically my hands are the first thing to start getting cold and once they do it’s a real struggle for me to keep them warm. I’ve tried a variety of other mitts and stuffing them with regular hand warmers and I can honestly say these did a fantastic job. As soon as I started to feel at all cold I’d turn them up and they kept my hands feeling very comfortable and dry without overheating and feeling wet. Also, I film with action cameras a lot and I found the leather was extra grippy. Nothing ever slipped or slid while in hand.

Warranty doesn't cover heating element
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
Have owned two pair of these, both have stopped heating. First after one season, Hestra replaced. Second pair stopped after two seasons, out of warranty. Expensive paperweights. There are others which we have now with true lifetime warranty which I highly recommend.
