Awesome versatile boot for everyone!

I will preface this review with saying I am a big believer of going into a boot shop and trying on different pairs to make sure you are getting the best fit for yourself. My first impression of the Head Formula 130 boot was how many features there were on this boot for you to adjust to really dial in the fit. Along with the standard micro-adjustments on the buckles (which most boots have), you can adjust the liner tongue length, you can add/remove a pad on the back of the liner behind the upper calf, and the liner itself is super adjustable when it comes to heat molds. You also have the option to use Head's Liquid Fit technology which helps with any heel lift issues. Right out of the box, there was a ton of heel hold so I didn't need to go with the Liquid Fit, but this will be an awesome option as the liner starts to pack out more and heel lift becomes an issue. This boot does have the ability to increase the flex from a 130 to 140 by adding a screw into a spot on the spine of the shell. While I can't say for sure if it did increase to a true 140 flex, the boot did feel stiffer with this screw in. While the boot was a little too stiff in the 140 flex for me, this would be an awesome option for someone wanting to get more versatility out of a single pair of boots. #BackcountryGearhead
