The Stout 45L Plus Backpack packs everything we need for a full day in the mountains or a light overnight, without feeling oversized for shorter hikes or even travel days. Its supportive, cushy, and ventilated VersaFit suspension system readies us for high-mileage days on the trail, and the bottom access compartment keeps our sleeping bag separate from the rest of our gear. We appreciate that Gregory fixed a rain cover that you can deploy when wet weather unexpectedly pours overhead. As the Plus version, this pack is designed with extended-length shoulder straps and hip belts, as well as fit revisions to accommodate hikers of larger shapes and sizes.

A great pack!!!
I really like this pack. Once i got everything adjusted it rode well on me! If i continue losing weight (as planned), this pack may be the wrong fit, but i plan to purchase another Gregory bag!

Great Bag for weekend camping
I haven't had a chance to take this pack backpacking, but on weekend campouts with our BSA troop have been great. The best feature of this bag is the bottom zipper. It's perfect for allowing me to get to the things I packed first but also need first once I get to camp. The comfort of the pack has been great, but I haven't pushed it much past a mile hike.

Plus size people hike too
5'8 tall 46" waist and this pack fits comfortable. I can easily reach both side pockets. Hiking with a hip belt that actually fits has been a game changer. Have done some all day hikes Now looking forward to loading it up for overnighters. Thanks Gregory for making it easier to get back out on the trail and doing what I love.

The First Bag To Consider For A Larger Frame
Backpacks for larger individuals are difficult to come by, and many top companies have just recently started to target this audience. The bag is light weight, and very breathable. The longer waste straps are also a must. Great size, and ease access. I highly recommend this Gregory pack. This is also a great bag for both entry level day-packers, and experienced hikers on longer treks. Personally, I’ll be using it for a 500 mile pilgrimage (Camino de Santiago), and the training has been a breeze with this bag.

Great to see a good pack for big hikers
It's nice to see a pack being made for bigger backpackers, whats not great is that only only get one choice in color, and it's a hideous in your face orange. I know it seems vein to complain about the color, but when you finally find a plus sized item made for the out door industry you hold on to it and you want to not hate it. A bright orange draws unwanted attention. If you are going to offer the only 45L bag made for plus sized people maybe don't make the only color option be so loud. It's just about the ugliest shade of orange, almost safety orange.

Very Happy w/ The Plus!
I'm 6'2" and 300 lbs. I was looking for a sizable winter day use pack and this fit the bill so I bought it. First, it fits and fits well! I wish the wings on the hipbelt were adjustable but that's minor. It has the space I need for a long winter day trip and the pockets on the hipbelt will be nice for small items I need quick access too. Overall fit is good and comfortable with the loads I've been putting in it to break it in.

Awesome pack!
Perfect pack, got the plus size. I'm tall so nice to have a pack that adjusts. Perfect size for quick overnight trips or lightweight trips. I bought it to use for hunting as well and will be nice to have a comfy pack.

It fits!
Never realized how bad my old pack fit me until i tried this one on. I've always been a big guy started wearing a XXL shirt when I was 15 and still do at 40. wife needed a new pack and while i was at the store I tried on the only "plus size" pack on they had. I immediately went home and saw what Gregory had online. I guess I'm at the lower end of who this pack fits, but it fits. the waist pockets are accessible, I'm no where near the end of all the adjustment straps, and it is just comfortable. doesn't have all the tech of some of the other packs. Wife just got a Juno and the breathability is better, came with a bladder and clips and a cool sunglass keeper, but as a big guy I would trade all that for a pack that actually fits any day.

Great bag and I love the design
I am 5’10” with 38” waist. It fits me but if you are much smaller than I think the pack may big to big for you to tighten the adjustment straps. I bought this bag understanding it was designed for fuller body shapes and was okay with having to cinch all the straps way down. If you have a fuller shape and have been looking for a bag that will fit and be comfortable then this is your bag. Plenty of strap adjustment and hip belt room and bags that end up where they should be. If you want to see some vids other than the manufacturer’s site, search for “Miranda in the Wild” or “Unlikely Hikers”. They both have vids that show this bag in use on bodies with more curves than mine.
