Maven 45L Backpack
You only have one night to get away from it all, and it seems like you'll have to trek farther than you planned in order to get away from the crowds. Lucky for you, Gregory designed the Women's Maven 45 Backpack so you can expand your overnight options. Its Aerolon suspension system wraps hollowed-out aluminum stays in a matrix ventilation system to keep the pack surprisingly supportive for how much it weighs. Aerolon also features 3D-molded EVA at the shoulder straps and waist belt for comfort. There's also a lumbar pad for extra support, and the entire system adjusts vertically and horizontally for a customized fit. The Maven is a traditional top loader, and there's an additional bottom access point for more convenient storage. The bottom straps secure sleeping bags or pads, and you can remove them if you pack your bag inside.

very comfortable pack
I've taken this pack on multiple backpacking trips and it has held up very well. The capacity is perfect for long day hikes or weekend outings. The hip belts did dig into my hips a bit, but I am going to work on getting that adjusted. This pack is great for beginners and the adjustable torso length helps if you're in between sizes.

Carries weight exceptionally well. Used for a 3 day 2 night backpacking trip in VT. Plenty of space for necessities and some luxuries. Would be pushing it for a 5 day trip but doable.

Great pack
Just did a couple miles to test this out. Lightweight, very comfortable with all the features you need and no extras.

Great pack
This pack is much stronger then other light weight packs. I was impressed with the integrity of the fabric I have taken this on a 30 day expedition leading students and adults in the backcountry. There were many days that I had this stuffed beyond capacity and the frame never bent. The weight always seemed to sit in the right spot and there is a lot of nice lumbar support which is one thing I think Gregory does well. That being said, the airflow on this pack is not good and I had a very sweaty back almost all the time. One thing that could make this pack better is having reinforced corners around the stays.

The most comfortable pack ever and is very light. For trail work, I’d prefer the fabric was tougher but the comfortability makes it worth having a little snag here and there

Lightweight and women’s specific
The Gregory Maven 45 pack comes with a lot of cool features. The custom fit of the pack is great, and the ability to adjust the torso length is also a great thing to have. I thought it felt really light on my back, and it moved well well with me as I hiked too. I feel like longer accessory straps and a little extra padding on the back would make this pack even better. But overall it is a functional, lightweight pack that comes at a reasonable price.

Perfect!
This is a great pack! I have hip issues and the suspension definitely made a huge difference. I also have large hips (pear shaped) and the design accommodated me perfectly, with all the weight being down on my hips but NO bruising or chaffing whatsoever. I could hardly feel the pack on my back. It was also very humid and the ventilation/mesh panel made a world of difference. The zip pockets were also perfectly sized to carry my asthma pump & adapter on one side and several snack (2 RX bars & 2 gel packs) on the other. I highly recommend this pack!

Customized fit great for weekends
I do a lot of extended day hikes and occasional overnights. Although I don't often need a larger pack, I opt for one because it provides better suspension and comfort than many day packs, even if it's half empty! When I evaluate a pack, I'm looking at 1. Fit - shoulders and hip; 2. Hip belt pocket large enough to hold my cell phone, a Samsung Note 9; 3. Ventilation So, how did the Gregory Maven 45 fare against my top 3? For fit, I could adjust the shoulder straps and hip belt with markings to help me fine tune the fit, heavy duty closed loop fasteners to hold it in place. After a couple of false starts, I used my existing pack as a guide to adjust the shoulder straps for the perfect fit. The hip belt is substantial and there are additional panels, again adjustable. It may take a time or two, but once it's sized correctly, it falls naturally on your hips and shoulders. I scrambled up and down steep trails and rocks and always felt like it moved well with me without hotspots. The waist pockets are large enough to hold my large cell phone, as long as I don't have a battery pack attached. The loop zipper pull makes it easy to find it to open and close while on the move. That said, I'd like it better if there were some stretch in the pocket. This weekend it was 84 degrees with a real feel 88, very humid, and I was interested in seeing how the ventilation worked. Can't say I felt a difference, but maybe nothing would have made one! Zippered side access panel was an unexpected feature that made it easier to access my camera toward the middle of my bag. Liked the included rain cover. If you use the sunglass holder, be careful the pack doesn't tip over and scratch a lens like mine did! Plenty of lash points and a floating lid give you the ability to expand your load if necessary. I wish the shock lock for hiking poles were a bit higher to keep the poles upright, but if that's my main complaint, you can say I'm am a happy hiker

Absolutely love!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Gregory is definitely my favorite backpack company. They just fit me perfectly. I was in need of a medium size pack- something that I could take on an overnight trip, but wasn't super huge. This pack was absolutely perfect. I was able to fit all my essentials for backpacking overnight. I only stayed 1 night, so this size of pack was ideal for me. I love the waistband, as well as the breathable frame. There is also plenty of extra space, with great storage. The pack fit me perfectly, no rubbing at all. I also really love this color. Overall, I would highly recommend this pack and I can't wait to use it more this summer.

Great for short frames!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm 5'2" so most backpacking packs, ones big enough to fit enough for multiple days camping/trekking, aren't built for my frame. This was the first bag that was really truly comfortable for me. I ordered an XS-S and the adjustable sizing meant I could make it sit properly on my hips and feel like I wasn't constantly being pulled backward by a too-big bag sitting way too high on my shoulders. For a small person, this bag is a must. It is lightweight and the smaller sizes make it comfortable for someone with a shorter frame, while not compromising on space or storage. Great for multi-day treks. #sweepstakes
