Would recommend to family.
My first experience hiking with the grayl went great. No flavor, no smell and no issues with an easy and quick way to filter. Would recommend to others hiking needing a lightweight, easy and say filter.

Graiyl bottles
Hello…I recently took a trip over to Nepal where the tap water was undrinkable… I had purchased your 24 oz Grayl bottle & I absolutely love it! I ordered 2 more small ones to carry around with me when I’m out running errands & such. The only negative feedback I have is in the packaging… although very streamline & creative it’s unnecessary… a simple hang tag/booklet would help with landfill waste… thanks for creating this product… it’s wonderful!

Easy, portable, durable safe water source
My wife and I are wrapping up theee weeks in Bolivia. My wife’s Ultralight and my Geopress performed flawlessly. Intuitive and easy to “operate”(if you can call pushing down “operating “). These filters are coming along on every trip I take.

too had to push down, and i am not weak.
I am sorry, this is just too hard to use. I work at a hospital and the water is bad. i refill 2-3 times a day. you have to push so hard by the end of the day your palms are killing you. and you have to push from the spot you drink from. so your purifying, but then dirtying at the same time. will not recommend to anyone

Don?t waste your money
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
I?ve tried on a couple of trips - works great when it works, but the filter is only good for 20 uses - it sucks. You can?t park a bull dozer on this thing and make it go down - and I was very careful to only run clean water through it. I?m looking for a replacement for 2022, not gonna buy a $20 filter every time I hit the trail ??

Hard to press, small
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
The filter is very hard to press down even when following the directions and using my weight; my hiking partners also had trouble. It can't be used with cloudy water (see reviews on outdoorgearlab). The handle lid is hard to grip and rotate and can get stuck on (I have medium sized hands). The amount of water generated per press is too low for the effort. I thought of bringing it to SEA/international travels to filter heavy metals, but it was too inconvenient. It doesn't work well for me for hiking, backpacking, camping either. I have not found a good use for it.
