Your cycling addiction has you way too dedicated or perhaps you're time-crunched for that important event coming up to take the day off of riding because of some precipitation. Suit up with the C5 Gore-Tex Active Jacket from Gore Ware and hit the road or trail responsibly and revel in the fact that most people decided to just take the day off. Sure, you could have called it off too or ridden indoors, but let's face it, riding the rollers or trainer doesn't give us the endorphin release we're after and it's always good to hone those wet weather skills.
The C5 Gore-Tex Active Jacket is a fully waterproof piece that gives you the protection you need when it's coming down in buckets and staying warm and dry isn't just for comfort, it becomes a necessity. Its constructed with a soft Gore-Tex Active fabric that’s quiet on the ride while remaining lightweight, extremely breathable, and water and windproof. Gore cuts this jacket in a cycling-specific fit so you get plenty of coverage while in the saddle and it doesn't in any way affect your range of motion. The back features a zippered pocket for stowing essentials and a zip under flap for additional coverage from wheel spray. Final thoughtful details include zipper pulls for easy operation with full-fingered gloves and reflective print for greater visibility to motorists in low light conditions.

This is the perfect cycling jacket for the chilly and wet days. The problem I had is with the sizing. if not for this issue, I would give it 5 stars. I originally ordered an XL on the website and when it arrived, the label said "US L EU XL" and it fit like a large so I sent it back. I ordered again making sure that I got the intended XL. When it arrived, the label said " US XL, EU XL", but it fit like the previous US Large so I sent it back once gain. One last time I ordered an XXL on the web site. When it arrived, the label said "US XL, EU XXL" and it fit like the XL that I was looking for. I don't know why there is such variation and confusion regarding the sizing with Gore Wear, but it is maddening.

I love Gore-tex materials. Once you go gore, you can't go back. They will block out wind and rain while still venting out heat like a champ. If you don't know how gore differs from other materials, hit youtube. It functions well in the rain and wind. I had it packed into a rear pocket on my long sleeve jersey for the start of an afternoon ride and it packed down well (assuming someone knows how to pack/roll gear). I bought both the S and XS (BC has weird sizing information listed on-site). I usually go with euro sizing and should have continued to do so, but was unsure so I bought both and returned one. Ended up going with the EU-Small. It's a proper race fit, with a fleece layer under to boot. I have several "end of season" races this year and am really happy i get to ride them more comfortable with this. Really surprised I went with the XS-US on this, though. It's a first, owning an XS in anything US-sized. All of my jerseys and bibs are all US-Small, so I assumed this would be the same. Im not "small" lol; i weigh 150 and am almost 5,11"...
