Lighthouse Micro Charge
The Goal Zero Lighthouse Micro Charge offers an ingenious two-in-one combination of broad lantern illumination and narrow-focused flashlight beam, with a USB-rechargeable battery and USB-output that powers small electronics when you're off the grid. The lantern packs 150 lumens of broad lighting that's ideal for campsites and tents, while the flashlight offers 115 lumens of powerful illumination for finding your way through the dark.
It's compatible with many of Goal Zero's Solar Panels and Battery Packs, fully charging from a standard USB port in 3.5 hours. Plus, you'll find it charges off the popular Nomad 7 Solar Panel in as little as 7.5 hours. The rechargeable battery also powers small electronics and portable devices with its USB output juicing a smartphone once or adding a bit of power to your tablet. Battery indicator LEDs give you an accurate assessment of the remaining power of the lantern, so you're never left in the dark.

Great buy and a great product!
I bought 20 of these light weight yet powerful mini lanterns for my kids and grandkid in light of the troubled times in America. Great and simple way to prepare for trouble.

Bright, powerful
The lantern is amazingly bright! I like having a choice of using it as a flashlight or lantern. The battery lasts a long time.

Does not hold charge
I bought one of these at a local store while on a trip. I charges it up and without using it in 2 days it was dead. I thought maybe I had somehow had it turned on a low setting or something. After I got home I charged it again and made sure it was off. It went from full charge to dead in 2 days without being used. Flashlight is useless if it won't hold a charge for 2 days.

Lighthouse micro
I bought several Lighthouse Micros and I use them every time I backpack or camp. They are excellent lights for outdoor recreation. They hold a charge forever! I have one in my fishing pack for an overnight survival situation. The light is more of a natural light and these micros are perfect to hang in a tent.

For what it is, it's great.
For when the lights go out, often, I have one in every room. Am I over doing it? Wait, until the lights go out. PS: I admit it, I am a Goal Zero Junky.

STUNNING!
It's not that often that you pick up a "Good Deal" at the store then find out that it will blow you away! I've had my Lighthouse Micro for over two years now and couldn't be happier. It produces as much light as a Colman white gas lantern while saving a huge amount of weight and room. It's been in temps from 20 degrees to over 100. Turned down with the dimmer it will provide camp light for a minimum of 4 nights. If you want a down side, I don't think of it that way, the Lighthouse does take a while to charge but that's what keeps it going! Be sure to have at least 4 hours to charge before use! The battery holds aprox. 4 times what it takes to charge an iphone 6.

A lot more than I expected
I bought the other light house without the flash light and thought it was pretty good little light. Than I saw the Lighthouse with the flash light so I returned the other and picked up the new one. It works great camping and also when the power went out. I also have other goal zero products and use them quit often and they have lasted many years. I plan to pick up a couple more of these Lighthouse Micro. They are very quick and easy to use when setting up camp.

As the CHARGER function doesn't have a physical on/off switch, I understand there must be some "quiescent" current to watch for a USB cable plug-in...How much is this quiescent current, and does it materially reduce the shelf-life?
