Those of us with wide feet are often doomed to suffer when it comes to cycling shoes, but with the Giro Savix HV+ Shoe your feet can get some sweet relief. These high-volume kicks are ideal for those with wide, or high-volume feet who are looking for the comfort they've heard about from Giro, with the space needed. The shoes wrap you up with supple synthetic uppers that hug your foot into place for a secure fit, and cinch down into place with a single set-it-and-forget-it hook-and-loop strap at the toe box, and a boa that allows you to land at the perfect setting, thanks to its minute 1-millimeter adjustment increments.
The Savix HV+ road shoe is designed to keep your feet cool while riding, thanks to breathable mesh throughout the uppers that let perspiration wick away while cool air passes through. The uppers secure to a stiff, nylon sole for putting down the power. While the nylon sole admittedly doesn't have quite the stiffness or lightweight properties of carbon fiber soles we see, they make a solid case for affordability while still offering solid performance. The sole is set up with both 2-bolt mountain and 3-bolt road compatibility, allowing you to choose what pedals you prefer for your bike, or to swap from one ride to another without needing a second pair of shoes.

As someone with an FTP of 275w and sprint over 1400w, these shoes give me a HORRIBLE creak. It was so loud that I first thought it was my bottom bracket but after trying the shoes on a new bike and new cleats, it is 100% the shoes. I tried paste under the cleat to stop the creaking but it continues. My though is the bottom plastic is too soft and is flexing under pressure. DO NOT BUY. It took me a bit of rides to figure this out but hopefully I can return because a creaking shoe is a defective product.
