Runs big in the width
Runs big in the width of the back around ankle and have to tie as tight as it will go.

Narrow feet only
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A few years ago I bought the Brett low top sneaker and it fits great. I wanted to get an updated nicer looking version so I tried these out. Unfortunately they are very narrow across the toes and are not close to fitting, even with very thin socks. The style is great and they seem well made but they don’t fit my feet

Previous shoes were better
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm replacing a pair of 6-yr-old Low Lace Walkers. The quality of leather lining was better, the eyelets had grommets, the fit and comfort were better. And they were made in the USA, so presumably more expensive to produce. I'll wear these Astors, but they surely don't have the feel of other Frye products that I've owned (still have a pair of boots that are probably 40 years old).

Poor material
I don’t think this shoe is made of genuine leather. It is synthetic and doesn’t breath well.

I bought these to replace
I bought these to replace a worn out earlier version. The new version made in China is not nearly the same quality axtge earlier US made version. I am disappointed in the overall quality of these shoes.

Terrible quality
Shoes started peeling after wearing them a handful of times, at the top near the shoe opening. This is not an area that is not usually subject to normal wear and tear. Frye refuses to let us return them. Otherwise, the shoes are stylish, but I've bought way cheaper shoes that have lasted longer.
