We've taken the liberty of answering that rhetorical question by combining the Internally Routed FOX Racing Shox Transfer Factory Series Dropper Seatpost with a 1x Lever, which constitutes a complete dropper system in order shift saddle height as easily as you run through cogs.

The post's smooth, eye-catching Kashima coated upper post and cable-actuated hydraulic internals pair for friction-free modulation with and an easy to engage action that deftly manages transitions across all manner of trail conditions. The mechanism centers on a spool valve, which balances system pressure in order to facilitate easier movement.
