Comfortable shoe for city and trails
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
- Size Bought:
- 8
I've now owned these shoes for 3 years and used them for a variety of activities. I like that they're equally suitable for daily use and for hiking, and the waterproof feature really comes in handy. This is my go-to shoe for warm-weather hikes, and they've definitely stood the test of time for me. I have wide feet, and I appreciate the extra room that these provide.

Weird fit
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
- Size Bought:
- 13
These seem well made but they are shaped oddly for the size you wear. There is all this extra room past the toe. I wear a 13 in most shoes and the 13 ?fits? as in it feels ok on the foot but just past the toes the shoe narrows to a point and leaves like an inch of narrow empty toe space. Very weird. When you pull them out of the box they just look very long for your size. Then they feel like they fit but you will notice this odd, narrow dead space past the toes. Definitely try them on first because BC will charge you $7 to return them for sizing issues.

Ample toe box

Soft, very comfy, ample toe box (fits 2E width size on regular size 10). Functional on trail and looks good on city street.

These shoes seem to be used a lot for casual day use. Are they any good for long day hikes on rocky ground with steep elevation changes?
