Smallest size is still a bit roomy
I ordered these because I was looking for a pair of autumn-winter weight, significantly water resistant hiking trousers that would fit my 5 foot 3 inch 100 lb frame. These are very roomy but the waist band is small enough to keep them from falling down. So, I decided to keep them. They are warm and they kept me completely dry through hours of hiking in light-to-moderate rain. Also, they don't make an annoying whispering noise as you walk.

great for cool weather or off trail traverse
I have 2 older style fit trousers (I still love them and they are holding up well) but I love the new improvements. The new style actually flatters ones bum. The older styles didn't really do much for the rear view, but Fjall is correct (improved fit ) is an understatement. Great quality, and now an even better fit. The fit guide is spot on. Don't skip the measurement part (and don;t be afraid when you are a bigger size than you are used to, the fit guide is accurate). This is my 4th pair of Fjallraven trousers (all different styles) and I love them. This is the thickest pair I have and great for fall/winter or off trail to prevent scratches.

Perfect Pants!
Bought for my wife, fit is excellent. 5'2" tall, 138lbs, size 8 is a perfect fit. These appear to run true to size, definitely not small.

Bring Back the old fit!
I absolutely love these pants. I am a forest technologist and it is so hard to find good durable pants for women that stand up to consistent bush work. My pants have lasted several years of rigorous use however they are starting wear out and pull apart at the seams. Things cannot last forever but am very impressed on the longevity of these pants. I would have given 5 stars however they have changed the fit of these pants. I ordered the same size to replace my old pants however the "improved fit" make them much to small and the size up are much too big. Very sad that there is such huge variation between the sizes now. I hear I am not the only the one that think the sizing is off now.... unfortunately I am forced to look elsewhere for durable hiking pants.

Sizing off
The sizing for these trousers is SO off. I am a UK size 8 waist 26 inches, with pretty minimal curves around my hips and thighs, so bought the small as per the size guide. They’ve just arrived and I can barely sit down they are so tight, not just around my waist but only around my thighs???

Superb fabric and fit
I purchased a size, 32-inch waist and a 39-inch-long. It fits me! I am 4’11” and I weigh 104 lb. The length is a bit long on me, but that can’t be helped. I cinch the leg opening so that they stay on my ankles. I have a ventilated pro I purchased in 2018. I wore that exclusively when I went hiking and camping, as well as urban prowling. But I wasn’t too happy with stretchy fabrics. Though making movements of legs and hips easier, they stretched out, pilled, and became raggedy looking. I wanted pants with all g-1000 that would last forever. The blue color is gorgeous and I love the high waist. The pockets, of course, are not only strategically placed and therefore highly functional but also somehow fashionable! I just wish that fjallraven considers offering petite sizings for all their clothes, especially pants.

Perfect
I have had these pants for nearly 7 years, and these are absolutely the best field pants I have ever owned. I work in polar climates and have worn these in arctic Alaska and Antarctica. The Arctic summer is characterized by wet cold, and after applying a couple coats of Greenland wax, these easily shed sleet and mud and kept my knees dry when kneeling on tundra. In Antarctica, they stop the strong, icy wind from penetrating. I am a US size 6, and tried these in EU size 38 and 40. The 38's fit perfect, but I kept the 40's because I wanted to layer these over fleece pants. These pants do the same job that any water-resistant outer layer would do, but they are comfortable, far less bulky, and look way better.

Great pants...with Alterations for Big Thighs
I go to Iceland every summer and some colleagues were raving about Fjallraven pants so I decided to invest in a pair. I consider myself curvy so I also tried the Nikka Trousers Curved, but maybe my curves are in different places because the Vidda Pro fit better. However, between the time of purchase and time of use, I gained weight (which is normal!), but then the pants became too tight around my thighs (28" circumference, each). Not wanting to lose out on a big investment, I decided to alter them to add a gusset in the crotch (diamond shape piece of fabric that adds more room around thighs). I got the regular 32" inseam but they were still too long for me (5'9") so I shortened the legs and got strips of 2" wide fabric, which I used for the crotch gusset. I also put in some waist darts in the back to reduce some of the scrunching when I wear a belt. I'm lucky I know how to sew but I also think it is worth paying for tailoring to make investment pants fit perfect. I altered a size EU46, but also tried them in a EU48 and they were still too tight in the thighs with even more excess fabric in the waist.

Great product
Bought almost a year ago and they are great! Extremely durable and comfortable. I wear these walking in the bush, gathering firewood in the woods, etc and I am so glad I made the purchase! Expensive but they will quickly become your favorite pair of trousers! I wore these on a week long kayak trip when the mosquitos were unbelievable, and didn't get bit wearing these. Literally tons of mosquitoes holding onto the pants for dear life in a windstorm, so I am more than pleased about that! My only con. is that it is a little tight to get them over your hips (I'm not a curvy girl). Due to the lack of stretch it is also hard to fit a base layer underneath as the weather starts to turn. I am going to try the keb style next to see if the stretch will help (but probably won't be as much of a defense against mosquitoes). All in all, great product! Thank you Fjallraven for quality!!!
