Fischer has entered the alpine touring game with a full line of gear that runs the gamut from heavy freeride touring gear to ultralight ski mountaineering equipment. Needless to say, the Tour Race Binding is an exciting new offering from Fischer, which is built for the gram-counting ski mountaineer. With a unique color scheme, Fischer's Tour Race binding brings a fresh look to the usually stale demeanor of tech bindings. Plus, at only eight ounces per pair, the Race Tour is one of the lightest bindings on the market that meets ISMF racing standards.
The toe piece is fitted with a front lever and small nylon bearing, resulting in ultra-smooth transitions between walk and ski mode. The simple flap design quickly transitions the heel to walk mode with a quick flip of a lever, and it has only one heel height to save weight, keeps the design simple, and it functions well on all but the steepest skintracks. The bottom line? An ultralight binding with a simplistic design to trim time from your transitions and make your touring experience as simple as possible.
